Intro:
At E3 2005, Sega showed a fifteen minute video of their Xbox 360 title Chrome Hounds and demos of their franchises running on the new console's hardware. The demos shown were under the segments 'Fighting', 'Shooting', 'Frightening' and 'Hedgehog?!'. 'Fighting' had characters Akira and Sarah from Virtua Fighter, 'Shooting' was a take on the classic After Burner and 'Frightening' was a new take on the House of the Dead series.

The Game:
The 'Hedgehog?!' section of course referred to our blue insectivore friend Sonic. The demo showed the hedgehog running at full pelt through a forest scene, followed by a dive off the side of a cliff to an encounter with some robots vaguely similar to Gamma from Sonic Adventure. Running faster still, Sonic comes across an impressive-looking building, where yet more robots appear and cause him to run up the walls and escape through the open roof.

Sonic runs to some wide open plains where the Egg Carrier appears, dropping hundreds more of the robots. They all open fire on Sonic and gun the poor little guy down, causing him to fall to the floor. Sonic then jumps into the sky and those handy Chaos Emeralds appear turning him into Super Sonic, at which point he attacks the robots and the demo ends.

This demo does not mean that there will necessarily be a Sonic 360 game; however the developer's intent shows that it is a distinct possibility.
