Sponsorship
We were extremely fortunate this year of the continued support of
the Springlands Tavern as our major sponsors. This year their
contribution was greatly increased to $ 7,000.00, which enabled
us to employ Dave Win as senior coach and to also continue with
the provision of coloured shirts for all our afternoon grade
teams. This sponsorship has been extremely beneficial to the club
over the last 5 seasons and one which we hope to continue with
for many more seasons yet. It was good to see this season that
patronage at the Tavern after club matches has greatly increased,
which can only work to benefit our relationship with them for the
future.
Also this season Meaters of Marlborough sponsored a Player of the
Day award which was given out on a rotational basis amongst the
afternoon grade teams. Blenheim Indoor Cricket Wicket again
provided us with the use of their facilities for pre-season
practice, while a number of other businesses sponsored races at
our Derby Race-Night, these included W. R. Campbell Ltd, Plans
& Quotes, Bank of New Zealand,
Michael Fitzpatrick Betta Electrical, and Ray White United Real
Estate.
