COOK'S WINDER ELECTRICAL REPAIRS

The armature being unloaded from the lorry. This is the second time that the armature had arrived. The first time, it was discovered that the commutator of the armature had been damaged in transit. Fortunately the damage was discovered before removal, which meant that the company who had transported this part of the machinery were responsible in taking it back for further repair.

‘Ligning up the armature and coupling. Two large pieces of materials with very fine adjustments. Cook’s Winder.

The job is finished and the winder is working again. The motor drives into a gearbox and then to the drums holding the ropes. Weekly maintenance on this machinery and testing of all safety equipment carried out.
