PERFORMER OF THE WEEK-
Week ending Friday, June 1st

First off- I want to give an honorable mention for performance to Allison for her fabulous portrayal of someone scared for one she loves (of course, Jamal). Have you ever seen anyone cry like Allison can cry? If I didn't know better, I would think she just had a death in her family! It's remarkable! Allison is a welcome new addition to the "Port Charles" family.

However, in dedicating our weekly newsletter to the upcoming 4th anniversary of "Port Charles" (I can't believe it has been 4 years), I think my Performer of the Week has to go to Eve.

Eve has remained a constant since the beginning of "Port Charles." With all the cast changes (Jake,Matt,Grace, and..how can we forget-a few Joe's and Karen's), Eve has stayed. She has grown from a character nearly afraid of her own shadow inside (yet very rough around the edges to those looking in) to the most likeable character on the show. She has weathered a few romances, i.e. Scott, Ian, Kevin, and even (some may speculate) Chris. She has become a character you would love to have for a friend, and convincing in every respect.

Her recent tragedy of finally finding the love and soulmate of her life, and then losing him to another has made her stronger, but more vulnerable.  She has faced her problems without feeling she needed to rely on Ian, and she has resisted the temptation to tell Ian about their baby she is carrying, even though to do so would most likely secure her future with Ian.

Eve has so much respect for Ian and bears such deep guilt about the attack which left Arianna needing an organ transplant, that she refuses to allow her baby to complicate any of their lives, except hers, which she is most grateful for. She is planning on embarking on a new life in a small town, in order to give her baby and herself a fresh start and a purpose in life.

Those of us who have watched "Port Charles" from day 1 remember how edgy and irritable Eve was. My how the tide has changed!!!

For her power to remain, and her power to help us remain devoted "Port Charles" watchers, Performer of the Week goes to EVE!
