Chris and Courtney: Fire and Ice
With these two love never never the question.  She wanted Joe, Chris wanted Eve, but since Eve was otherwise occupied with her latest relationship, Chris had no problem playing the field.  After all when a blonde little vixen like Courtney wants to match wits with a conman like Chris Ramsey, there are bound to be some sparks flying.  Chris and Courtney found one another and in their own ways used one another to get what they wanted, she wanting to destroy Joe and Karen's relationship by getting her lover and pal Frank to help her in the quest, while Chris wanted to have something to do with his time since his firey roommate moved out.  Yes Chris and Courtney had their fun, but part of the thrill was to see who would win this intricate game of cat and mouse.  Of course in the end when Courtney tried to fight below the belt, she lost as Chris would not take anyone or anything trying to destroy his relationship with Eve.  Courtney was history as soon as her attacks landed in Eve's direction.

Revenge: Chris Takes Being Bad A Bit Far With Livvie
As soon as Livvie Locke arrived in town looking for answers about her mother, she was led directly to Chris Ramsey.  She began asking questions about his wife and immediately Chris knew she was up to something.  She came along at the perfect time for Chris as he was in the right frame of mind to take revenge upon Livvie's mother, Rachel.  Chris expertly manipulated Livvie as she found out about her true parentage, building a trust that led Livvie into a "connection" with Chris.  She attempted to  show her appreciation to him via a kiss which he said flattered him but he didn't want to take advantage of her.  Livvie began to fall for Chris's  brother, Jack, while still getting to know Chris.  When Chris finally approached Livvie about taking their relationship beyond a basic friendship, she balked because she was feeling something more for his brother.  Chris & Jack have  been in fierce competition for Livvie's affection, bringing Chris to use all his resources to expose Jack's dirty little secrets.  Once Livvie knew the truth about Jack's motivations, she was ready to cut him out of her life and perhaps let Chris back in. only to toss him aside once more when she realized that it was Jack who was meant to have her heart.

Crazy: Chris and Julie
Chris & Julie shared a friendship since the beginning of their internship together at GH.  Once Chris had slept with Julie's mother however, their friendship was rocky at best for quite a while.  When Julie was put into Ferncliff for the General Homicide murders, Chris believed she was guilty.  However, he was motivated to get to her because of his one true  love....money.  Chris wanted the money from the DL-56 profits which had been left to Julie as Bennett Devlin's heir.  Julie had ideas of her own regarding Chris.  She needed someone to help her keep her unborn child from becoming a ward of the state.  They struck a deal.  Julie would give Chris his portion of the DL-56 profits as long as Chris got her baby away from Ferncliff until Julie could be acquitted of the General Homicide murders.  They never expected their relationship to be anything more than a business arrangement.  After escaping from Ferncliff, Julie sought out Chris's help because she was in labor!  Chris took Julie out on the interstate towards a cabin but Baby Christina wasn't going to wait.  Chris pulled off the highway to a fairy tale village theme park where he delivered Julie's baby girl and saved her life as the embilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck.  Julie named the baby after Chris because he'd saved her life.  This experience bonded the two schemers in a way neither had imagined.  They married in order to share the money, but they'd also found companionship in one another.  They'd fallen in love.  Once Julie stood trial and was acquitted of the murders, the Ramseys had to learn how deal with one another on a day to day basis.  They soon learned intimacy with each other and became lovers after a period of adjustment.  The now closer Dr. and Mrs. Ramsey began taking steps to get baby Christina back into their custody.  The courts deemed that Christina was better off left in the care of her adopted parents Scott and Lucy Baldwin.  Julie became very depressed and withdrew from everyone, including Chris.  Julie took off one night, kidnapping Christina, and taking off into the great unknown.  Chris had no idea what his wife had been planning and was left heartbroken and alone, not understanding why she hadn't trusted him enough to take him along.  Chris received an annullment after Julie had been gone for a few months and moved on with his life.

Always and Forever: Chris and Eve
While life may have thrown them a great many twists and turns, one thing is for certain, they always seem to come back to one another.  Chris has laid his heart on the line time and time again and while Eve may not see what she has in him, she is the one woman who holds the key to his heart.  She was accurate when she said his love for her was unlike his love for Julie because in all honesty, it's hard for us viewers not to see that Chris holds Eve on a pedestal high above any other woman in his life.  He loves her in shadows and with painful restraint as he always tries to put her first, a very uncharacteristic trait for this bad boy.  Without any of the other things that come about with his scheming nature, his love for Eve is the purest form of Chris.  It's within his concern for her that we are able to witness the true depths of Chris Ramsey.  It's in his love for Eve that we see the one thing so many believe that he isn't capable of...his heart!

Blast From the Past...

Interview from Days gone by in PC.  Remember when?!?!
MARRIED WITH CHILDREN
Soaps In Depth
By: Kelli M. Larson
Dated: April 4, 2000

No sooner did Chris Ramsey get hitched to a secret mom than his portrayer, Nolan North, and his real-life bride welcomed a new addition to their family.

Three years ago, part-time comedian Nolan North thought life couldn’t get any better. But that was before PORT CHARLES cast him as it’s resident M.D. (Mischievous Devil) Chris Ramsey and he met actress and fellow golf nut Jill Murray. “I had always wanted a family, but I didn’t think I’d find the right person,” he explains. “Now, to have someone who can put up with my antics – and [even] revel in it and encourage it…”

He pauses. “She just instills a lot of confidence in me, and that’s something you can’t get from other people.”

Father Time
Married last year, the two are now the proud parents of 2-month-old Cooper. And despite his lack of sleep, Dad is loving being a parent. “It’s lot more work that I had expected,” he admits, “but I’m having the time of my life.

“When I’m feeding that baby at 6 am and it’s just me and him and I look over at my beautiful wife sleeping soundly, I honestly realize that life is just perfect.”

Paging Dr. Do-Good?
Ironically, North’s new home life is one the of the first things he’s had in common with his PC character. “The timing is very interesting,” he muses. “Here Chris is the guy who posted pictures of Ellen and Matt sleeping together and now he’s got a wife who he truly loves!”

Whether the Ramseys will be as happy as the Norths remains to be seen, but the actor believes they are starting from a good place. “The fact that Julie didn’t tell anyone that she was Devlin’s daughter prompted Chris to think, ‘Wow, she’s trying to do it on her own,” so he’s always respected her.”

And while Eve many have held the key to Chris’ heart, it was Julie – during her incarceration – who turned the lock. “seeing somebody else needing him to be selfless,” North suggests, “is what prompted Chris to find his heart.”

A Match Made In Hell?
Now the town pariahs are joined at the hip and ready for anything. “Chris is a fine doctor, but he may feel he has less to prove now because he has somebody [to whom] it doesn’t matter what he is, as long as he’s happy,” North says, adding that he knows the feeling. “Since I got married and had the baby, all my priorities lined up. It’s like there’s nothing I can’t do.”
