It is very important to follow a schedule in preparing to write any standardized tests. If you are planning to apply to the Master of Science (M.S) degree course in U.S, then you have to take two standardized tests namely the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
GRE:
The GRE can be taken at any convenient date except those falling on Saturdays and Sundays. It is advisable to start the test preparation atleast a year in advance of your scheduled test date. For registration details, Please see the Bulletin & Registration page.
Books to be followed:
BARRON'S - Standard text book to be followed.
ARCO - Can be used as reference.
Tests :
It is very important to take model tests before your GRE.
PAPER BASED TESTS:
If you want to increase your speed in solving problems, We strongly recommend you to take the 30 paper based tests available in the ETS big book.
CBT:
It is very important to take the model CBT to get used to the interface. It will also help you to solve difficult problems which are not available in the paper based tests. The following software's will be of immense help to you in your preparation.
TOEFL:
