There are two ways to fill out and submit the application form.

1. By filling out the online application form in the respective college websites
2. By filling out the snail mail application

Most colleges prefer the online method and if it is also your preferred method, make sure that you have a valid global credit card with you. You should also be prepared to write an online sop. For tips on writing a good sop and view some model sops ,Please visit the Sop and Personal essay page.

If you are a person who prefers a pen over the mouse, then go ahead and fill out the snail mail application. Also make sure that you request the colleges to send the application forms to you by snail mail. You have to do this atleast an year prior to the start of college.
