The
Spanish family does not have to neither change its customs nor do anything
in special, just let the Exchange Student adapt the best as possible
to the family dairy life, so it is the Exchange Student who has to live
like a member of the family and learn from the experience itself.
These families are usually of an average social status and live either
in flats or in houses of little towns or villages.
The Student does not have to be considered as a guest but as another
member of the family, with the same duties which could have the sons
or the daughters of the same age.
The Students arrive in Spain with the intention of practising Spanish
or Catalan and immerse themselves in its culture. However, practising
a bit of their language with the Family does not normally bother them.
At least all the students must have one year of Spanish to be able to
participate in our programs. It enables the Student to adapt better
and faster.
It is important to know that the Area Representative is always available
to answer any doubt about the program or “problems” with
the Students and that all the Students arrive in Spain with a wide medical
and accident insurance.
The non-observance of the “Student's Regulations”, implies
the immediate return of the Exchange Students to their country of origin,
without any expenses for the Host Family.
The Host Family is responsible of giving accomodation and food to the
student, and affection, of course.
Hosting
a foreign student does not mean many additional expenses for the Spanish
Host Family. However, BOOGIE offers a monthly little amount of money
to the family by way of accomodation and food, as the culture and experiences
exchange with a mutual cultural enrichment are the essential basis of
the program. If you want to enjoy having the beautiful experience of
being a Host Family, please contact us.
