General Terms

REGISTRATION
To enrol in any of the programs offered by BOOGIE, it is necessary to have an interview personally or by other means with members of the BOOGIE staff, present the documents requested and sign the contract as well as paying the 25% of the total amount of the selected program more the cancellation cover (as extra option). Payment should be done by bank transfer or cheque payable to CARME MARSÀ ESCOLÀ.
The beforementioned 25% shall be deducted of the total amount of the program. The outstanding 75% until the total amount of the program, must be paid maximum 30 days before the beginning of the program, if not BOOGIE shall understand that the student is renouncing the program. It is essential the payment of the total amount before the departure.

 

 

CANCELLATION
The student, the legal representative or guardian wishing to cancel the hereby contract must send a letter by registered post to BOOGIE. The cancellation of the contract causes the following cancellation charges:
Regarding the reception date of the letter by BOOGIE:
-Until 30 days before the departure: 25% of the total amount
-During the 30 days before the departure: 50% of the total amount
-In Spain: 100% of the total amount
Not turning up the departure date without a previous cancellation or not attending or abandoning the program shall mean the loss of the total amount.
Any cancellation made by BOOGIE means giving the amount of money already paid back to the student.

CANCELLATION COVER
All students of our programs may contract a cancellation cover for the sum of 300 Euros as extra option when presenting the requested documents and first payment. It covers the cancellation expenses until the day of the departure of the flight in the country of origin for any of the reason mentioned hereafter:
-Subjects fail which stop beginning the course.
-Serious illness, serious physical accident or death of the insured, first or second degree relative, step-parents and stepbrothers or stepsisters or legal guardian.
-Death of a third-degree relative.
-Serious damage in the house of the insured.
-Reception of an adopted brother or sister.
-Cancellation of the program for wining another trip in a public draw with the presence of a solicitor.
-Dismissal of the insured parents or legal guardians.
-Receiving a grant.
-Judicial statement, moratorium on payments or bankruptcy of the entreprise of the parents or guardians of the student.
-Judicial impediment due to a situation of legal separation or divorce.
The cancellation in the participation of the program must be reported with a letter by registered post to our headquarter situated in C/ Mare de Déu de Montserrat, 28, 43420-Santa Coloma de Queralt (Tarragona) Spain, having previously justified the reason for the cancellation. Once received this letter and the case analysed, BOOGIE shall give the amount already paid back less the 300 Euros of the cancellation cover.

INSURANCES
The students of our programs are covered by a wide medical and accident insurance. However, if the insurance does not cover all the expenses caused, the student or the legal responsible shall pay the difference.

DISCOUNTS
BOOGIE offers a 10% special discount of the total amount of the program (cancellation cover not included) in case two brothers or sisters belonging to the same family buy a program leaving both of them at the same time.

RULES
The student commit themselves to comply with the rules hereafter called “Student’s Rules” accepting as well the ones of the high school, schedules, etc. The Student shall be under the Area Representative’s protection. BOOGIE or its Area Representatives are absolutely authorized to cancel the participation of the Student at any time because of:
a) Non-observance of the rules of the program “Student’s Rules”, already known and accepted for the Student in the Contract.
b) Non-observance of the obligations in the high school.
c) Bad behaviour without complying with the most logical principles.
d) Lack of discipline or behaviour, non attending to classes, non-observance of the schedules, smoking in prohibited sites, consumption of alcoholic drink or drugs...
In case of non-observance of any of the points already mentioned, the Student shall be returned to the country of origin without neither a right to demand nor an economical compensation. All the expenses caused by the return shall be the Student’s, parents’ or legal guardian’s responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITY
BOOGIE shall do all the possible good management to the advantage of the Student but it shall never answer for the damages caused by the Student or by third parties foreign to BOOGIE to the Student. Any claim must be done with a letter by registered post to the BOOGIE headquarter situated in Santa Coloma de Queralt before denouncing it to the regional government, during the fifteen days after the student’s return to the country of origin.
In case of lawsuit, renouncing to any other charter which might correspond the Student, both parts submit to the jurisdiction of the courts designated by both.

PUBLICITY
BOOGIE is allowed to use all photographic material or any other kind where there are Students to promote or advertise its programs.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DETAILS
According to the Organic Law 15/1999, dated December 13, about protection of personal details, BOOGIE informs you that your personal details of our registration contract shall join our data file exclusively for commercial purposes. The acceptance of these general items implies your consent to do this treatment and its use for these purposes. However, they may be rectified and cancelled at your convenience according to the current legislation.

OTHERS
a) The Student is obliged to have all the necessary documents to travel abroad such as passport, visa, etc.
b) BOOGIE is a legal entreprise with the business permit number 43710608-M which acts only and exclusively as a mediator agent between the Student and the high school (according to the program), so it rests with the high school the way of working as well as activities, excursions and trips.
c) Life and customs in Spain are different from the ones in the country of origin of the Student. So, it is the Student who must adapt to the Spanish life without expecting meals, classes, accomodation, distances, schedules, social rules... to be the same as where the Student is from.
d) Spanish public holidays shall be respected according to the Spanish calendar and there shall not be class during these days.
e) If the Student, either an adult or a minor, needs medical treatment or be admitted to hospital or operated always according to doctor’s instructions without having located the parents or legal guardians; for the minors, the Host Family and/or BOOGIE or its Area Representatives have the right to do what is considered the best in the circumstances for the life of the Student without any responsibility, neither for BOOGIE nor for the Host Family.
f) Complains of the Students, parents or legal guardians should be made during the stay in Spain in order to find a satisfactory solution as soon as possible. Any complaint not made during the program shall not be valid.
g) The programs include exclusively what each one mentions.
h) BOOGIE shall not be neither responsible nor refund any money if the Student has to be sent back to the country of origin before time. The Student, parents or legal guardians shall pay the extra expenses as well as a compensation for any damages caused to third parties and also a payment to BOOGIE for the business of all the extra expenses as a consequence of the expulsion.
i) The Student, parents or legal guardians shall be the only responsible of participating in a program without having the advisable level of the language.
j) BOOGIE reserves the right to cancel this contract if the Student, parents or legal guardian break any of the rules aforementioned.
