New Fund Raising Group Planned
New fund raising group planned Volunteers are urgently required to come forward to join our new fund raising group please help us to find new enthusiatic, keen and interested volunteers to help with one off charity events so if your time is limited can you help out ocassionally on single events or projects can you help or can you nominate a friend, family member, colleague or acquaintance?
Please contact Tracy through either the Beckly Office on 484433 or chair of management committee Franqui on 231950. Our first fund raising project for 2009 is a "VALENTINE FAYRE". Please support us with your help and assistance.
New Cooker
A donation of £500 from the Plym Valley Lions has allowed us to replace upgrade and get fitted a new electric cooker in the kitchen. We now have a new cooker with large double ovens which are self clearing and grills, a fast hob as well as having the cooker circuit upgraded to comply with new regulations This means we will be able to do better and more cooking activities to increase life skills and promote healthy eating Many thanks to the members of the Plym Valley Lions for all the hardwork collecting this money.

Annual General Meeting 2008
Annual Meeting was held on September 15th at Beckly. To encourages as many people as possible to attend an afternoon and evening meeting were held. Both meetings had the same agenda but twice the opportunity for families to come along and share their views and opinions with Beckly's management groups as to how we can develop services for the future to support and assist families and their children. We would like to thank those who attended but this is an ongoing effort so.

Charity Motor Bike Ride
Plymouth Motor Cycle Club ran a charity ride out on Sunday 18th May starting at 1pm at Lee Mill after a mass ride through the South Hams ended up at Beckly for a BBQ and Raffle donations for the ride and the raffle raised £528.00 many thanks to everyone who participated monies will be used to purchase additional sensory equipment, a bubble tube and infinite mirror.

New Outdoor Play Area Completed
Work on the open space next to the Long Barn has been completed by a work party from Moorcroft Quarry at Plymstock. With equipment provided by Speedy Hire workers from Bardon, Amalgamated Aggrigates and their contractors cleared, leveled and tarmac the area to create an ideal space for bikes trikes and sports new gates have been provided by a donation from Devonport Estates, many thanks to everyone involved for all their hard work. will be used to purchase additional sensory equipment, a bubble tube and infinite mirror.

Look out for Beckly collection boxes in pubs
If you are out and about in the city centre then look out for Beckly collecting boxes in pubs linked to the pub watch scheme Beckly has been nominated as the charity of the year and so far £200 has been collected which as used to wards buying a adult sized tricycle which is proving very popoular for encouraging physical activity.
Warrant Officers and Senior Rates Mess
Beckly has just collected a cheque for £1500 from the WO and SR Mess HMS Drake as one of their nominated charities Monies have been raised throughout last year by raffles, events and other special activities Everyone at Beckly would like to express their sincere thanks monies will be used to support the social outreach groups.
