Wet & wild

With our journey almost over, we sped to the roaring falls of Niagra and voyaged upon one of the Maids of the Mist. Some of us also opted to experience the falls close up by going on the Cave of the Winds tour, the highlight of which was surely dressing up like 'I know what you did last summer' fishermen and carpet slippers?!

Our farewell party that night was an emotional evening that started with tears at the dinner table and ended in drunken antics around the campfire...!

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye

More tears were shed as we drove the last leg of our trip back to where it all began, New York.

After sharing the lives of so many people for an intense 2 and a bit months, it was painful to say goodbye and head home. Some lucky trekkers carried on for a few more days, others for a few more months but few of us can deny that 64 day period in 2001 was truly an experience of a lifetime.
