Unknown
Error Code = C00 <<
I've encountered a new problem. I tried to load
some Akai format samples from a sample CD. Some
loaded without problems, some didn't. The ones that
didn't load were followed by this error
message: Unknown
error Error code = C00 I
also noticed that they were stereo samples, and the
error Opcode after the left sample was loaded. I
have 50mb of ram, so I don't think that's the
problem. Anyone know what's going on? Better yet,
anyone know how to fix this annoying problem?
>> "If
memory serves (it's been 4 four years since I wrote
the import utility on the X), C00 is a general
import failure error code. This
could mean a couple of things (bear with me):
[1]
Scratches / dirt on the sectors of the CD that you
are attempting to read [2]
Not 100% compatible CDROM drive [3]
SCSI (!) expansion board problems [4]
An AKAI disk that was incredibly fragmented when
the master was created, and the import software
just loses its way. I
don't think there is any way to get rid of the
problem unless it's 1,2, or 3. That
is of course, unless you can recreate the sample CD
in a non-fragmented fashion. What
AKAI CDROM is it? What CDROM drive do you
have? Regards, Scott --------------------------------------------------------------- SoUnDEnGiNe.com |
