Abstract -
Procurement selection process in the acceptance of prospective students is an
initial step undertaken by private universities to attract superior students.
However, sometimes this selection process is just a procedural process that is
commonly done by universities without grouping prospective students from
superior students into a class that is superior compared to other classes. To
process the selection results can be done using the help of computer systems,
known as decision support systems. To produce a better, accurate and objective
decision result is used a method that can be applied in decision support
systems. Multi-Objective Optimization Method by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) is one of
the MADM methods that can perform calculations on the value of criteria of
attributes (prospective students) that helps decision makers to produce the
right decision in the form of students who enter into the category of
prospective students superior.

Abstract -
Increasing the level of competition between companies resulted
to
the number of companies adopting the use of activity-based costing system
(costing) based on activity (ABC) with the aim of the company management
be able to
analyze profitability, encourages
process of
improvement, developes
more innovative performance, and
be able to
participate in strategic planning. In addition to an activity-based costing
based manufacturing company may also be applied to companies in services such as
hospitality services. Madani Hotel provides lodging services that aim to provide
comfort for guests who use the services of lodging. The lodging services in all
three hotels are one of the greatest sources of revenue from other hospitality
services to be
offered.
However, in the determination of the tariff of lodging services at Garuda Plaza
Hotel, Madani Hotel and Novotel Soechi still use traditional cost method, so
that the offered lodging services become cheaper (under costing) or more
expensive (over costing) of the expenses that should be consumed in the lodging
services . To maintain and improve the profitability of Garuda Plaza Hotel,
Madani Hotel and Novotel Soechi, it will be calculated to determine the rate of
lodging services based on activity based costing method. The purpose of this
study is expected to get the difference that occurred in the determination of
lodging service tariff used by the hotel with the ABC method, in because the
cost of the cost of lodging services consumed by the method of ABC and
traditional different, so the cost
that obtained can be
larger or smaller. Therefore the hotel should review the rate of lodging
services is being
used in such away it will
not to harm the hotel or guests.

Abstract - Study the
characteristics of drying under drying temperature conditions between 60-80ºC,
drying air velocity 0.6-1.4 m / s and 6-10 mesh particle size. This paper
describes a design and realization of fertilizer dryers based on ANN Methode. In
addition to the amount of production more, the cost of operation can also be
minimized as much as possible and require less power, so the manufacturing
process even higher profits. Automation is one of the realizations of
technological development and is the only inevitable alternative to acquiring a
simple, practical, and efficient work system to achieve results with a high
degree of accuracy. The time aspect should also be considered, because with the
shorter the time required for the production process, it will get better results
and faster when compared with production processes that take longer. A
measurement of the reduction of solid mass of the fertilizer in the tray as a
function of time for various conditions of drying air temperature, wind
velocity, and particle size. The drying characteristic is expressed in moisture
content as a function of time and rate of drying as a function of free moisture.
The experimental results show best of the drying rate is strongly influenced by
the rise in drying air temperature and drying air velocity. The solar cell is
one of the methods in the dryer power supply through the thermostat.

Abstract -
A
parameter is a significant variable in determining the calculation result of a
method. In Rabin-Karp, several parameters determine the accuracy of this
algorithm. The role of the parameter acts as a determinant of the level of
similarity of the document. The method ocuuped is Rabin-Karp. It is performed
for plagiarism checking. Rabin-Karp works by mapping documents into words
(tokenizing). The token formed will be mapped in word snippets (N-Grams) that
have the same length. The main parameters that play a role determine the
accuracy of similarity, N-Gram, Base, and Modulo. N-Gram length is varied. It is
determined based on the target desired. In the modulo section, it uses a
specific prime number. N-Gram, Base, and Modulo values have varying results when
combined. N-Gram will proceed a Hash calculation that serves to give the value
on each piece of the word. The Hash value also depends on the Base and Modulo
provided. The combination of these three values determines the accuracy
percentage of the document's similarity. The Hash value of both documents
generated produces the identical hashes. It is the determinant of the similarity
level obtained. The proper combination will improve the calculation accuracy.

Abstract -
In this research parameters such as tool performance, surface
roughness in turning process under, dry and near-dry conditions are considered
using conventional lathe machine. Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) and dry
turning method are carried out and compared. Carbide coated cutting tool is used
in conventional dry turning lathe machine with minimal fluid or dry application
method by varying depth of cut, feed rate and speed. Consequently, the wear of
the tool and the surface roughness of the work piece with different conditions
are considered. The finding proves that under certain cutting conditions the
predicted tool life under near-dry lubrication are increased compared to dry
turning. The tool life with appropriate material properties and cutting
conditions can be calculated by means of the parameters in near-dry turning
method. Carbide tool performance with minimum amount of lubrication is analysed
primarily in this research.

Abstract - This study aimed to investigate the combination among
proportional–integral–derivative,
(PID) controller, fuzzy logic controller, (FLC) and active force control,
(AFC) implemented in model 4-Degree of-Freedoms (4-DOFs) biodynamic hand model.
Simulation and comparative studies using MATLAB Simulink involve these models
have been successfully implemented with the aid Check Step Response
Characteristics, (CSRC) Toolbox Simulink block, to obtain the values of
constraints and estimated mass, (EM) for each of the proposed controller model.
The comparison results show that hybrid system model PID-AFC is a highly
superior and extremely robust for 4-DOFs biodynamic hand which managed to reduce
the displacement amplitude of tremor as much as 99.594% and tremor acceleration
signal by 98.535%. However, hybrid model adaptive intelligent system, PIDFLC-AFC
managed to reduce displacement amplitude tremor signal as much as 99.113% and
97.826% reduction at tremor acceleration signal. Meanwhile proposed model
PIDFLC-AFCFLC is demonstrated, the best result of adaptive intelligence models
for PSD of displacement and acceleration signal frequency. Both of these models
might be the most robust system model for auto-tuning controller and different
external disturbances introduced in the system.

Abstract:
This paper presents the possibility of using
HDPE plastic
polyethylene as partial replacement for sand in the production
of cement
brick. The purpose of the study is to reuse the plastic waste to create new
eco-friendly products. High density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic is made from
petroleum and commonly used in the production of plastic bottle and
corrosion-resistant pipe. It has superior chemical and physical characteristics
compared to other type of plastic. HDPE cement brick is made from mix of
Ordinary Portland Cement, sand and HDPE plastic. The mix ratio for normal cement
bricks is 1:4 (cement: sand). The substitution of HDPE plastic replacing sand is
at 10% and 20%. The density and the compressive strength of HDPE cement brick
based on these two substitutions were investigated and compared with the normal
cement brick. Results show that HDPE cement brick is lighter where the density
decreased as the percentage increased. Likewise, the compressive strength is
reduced accordingly but still within the limit of MS 76:1972. Compressive
strengths of 9.5 N/mm2, 6.28 N/mm2 and 5.02
N/mm2 were achieved for 0%, 10% and 20% HDPE
cement brick. The strength of 10% and 20% percentage of HDPE cement brick
achieved the standard compressive strength of 5 N/mm2. It was
concluded that HDPE cement brick has potential to be utilized as
construction
materials with 20%
substitution of HDPE only.

Politeknik Banting
Selangor, Malaysia
Abstract -
This project research presents the conceptual
design of a Tilt-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which can perform vertical
take-off and landing as well as cruise by utilizing appropriate tilt angle of
the rotor. A remote control will be used to command the maneuver of the
aircraft. In addition, this research is focusing on designing the structure part
of the UAV, which covers the tilt-rotor UAV based on maximum load maneuver as
required by NATO STANAG 4671. This design approach is based on the configuration
of V/STOL (Vertical or Short Takeoff and Landing). In conceptual design phase,
it basically starts by setting a few specifications for a new aircraft. Every
designer has their own approach and angle to set their own basis in developing
their conceptual design. However, the conceptual design of the UAV include some
vital and significant criteria such as design requirement, estimation of the
weight of aircraft, identify some critical performance parameters, type of
configuration, performance analysis and optimization. These needs and potential
applications provide the motivation for this design project, in the anticipation
of designing and building a model VTOL. Improvement and recommendation of new
ideas for the success of the UAV are also discussed.
