Seeing me off five years ago at Dulles International Airport, my friend said bitterly: “You are a damn fool to go back to Russia. These bastards won’t leave you alone.” I knew Ruslan was right. He had served ten years in Russia on a framed up charge of espionage, and he knew what to expect of our secret services. Staying for a month at his place in Maryland, I spent long nights, discussing with him the KGB and its successor services, which had shaped, or rather misshaped, our own lives, as well as the life of the whole nation. Despite our experience, none of us could say he knew what that beast was we had encountered. An inexplicable feeling as if I left something unfinished in Russia was driving me home, though I knew that I, indeed, wouldn’t be left alone. It took me another five years to finally get to the root-cause of this phenomenon:

I was ill-fortuned long time ago to come under close surveillance of our secret services. To retain my spiritual integrity, just to survive, I was forced to do the same. And the longer I watched their activity the more puzzled I became, being unable to answer the piling up questions. Like why were the secret services conducting total surveillance, shadowing people who had never been linked in any way to state secrets? Why did they harass decent people and protect the scum, which actively collaborated with them? Why did bastards, inside the secret services, having committed some wickedness, if a crime, receive immediate promotion, whereas honest officers were cashiered for the slightest fault? Why did people who chose collaboration, succumbing to temptations or threats, achieve effortless success, which later became darkened by unexplained diseases, mental illnesses, alcoholism – while those few, who seemed to have avoided those “side-effects”, often died of “natural causes but in mysterious circumstances”? Why does everything, created by the human genius that sacrificed his life for this, make them mad and seek its destruction? Why does everything, which attracts the attention of the secret services, decline and fall? They swore allegiance to the communism – the USSR collapsed, profess democracy – Russia begins to crumble. Why?

My 30-year-long practice of yoga, the study of the work of human consciousness permitted me to produce a methodological instrument, a key to emerging questions and thus, to compose an integral notion of the secret services and their role in our country, their impact on individual and national consciousnesses.

The level of the given detail is minimal that is necessary to reveal the root-cause of the subject. The terms and notions used for this are conditional and relative.

depends on our perception of it, on:

1) the structure of our consciousness, and 

2) the way it works.

Our world is heterogeneous. It’s an invisible ocean of energies, made up of currents, bands of different frequency. Its heterogeniousness triggers the force of inertia, making everything around, including the consciousness, oscillate. 

The oscillations of consciousness result in our perception of reality in a) fragments and b) opposites: right-left, good-bad, white-black.

For the sake of sheer survival, the picture of reality must constitute a whole - “E pluribus unum”. The unity and the root-cause must be clearly made out behind the staggering diversity of the world. 

Therefore, the consciousness faces a trinity of tasks: a) perception of reality b) comparison of perceived images to single out common features c) their synthesis into a single picture.

The structures of consciousness and the principles of its work are subject to the trinity of those tasks. 

Besides its outer form, the consciousness has 3 basic levels, 3 frequency bands. 

Each of these levels-frequency bands, have two poles (a kind of an oscillatory circuit) between which energy-information circulate and “design” tension, forming hierarchy of structures, is supported: 

with the ground level consisting of “experience-memory” polarities; the middle – “notions-world outlook”; and the top level consisting of “values-ideals” polarities. 

To perceive the flow of reality, to tune to its frequency, one has to bring the frequency, the speed of the energy-information, circulating within the appropriate band of consciousness, to the level of frequency, speed of the flow, i.e. one has to reach the resonance. 

The speed of circulation depends on the tension on the poles, which is regulated by the poles’ structural changes.

To acquire a deeper understanding one has to inspect the role of the mind’s structures. 

The mind’s outer form plays the role of a scanning reflection of the Self-concept, a barrier, protecting the internal integrity from the world outside. In awake state it manifests itself as inner speech, in sleep – as dreaming. 

As the mind’s task is to create an integral picture of reality, determine its place in it and navigate through it, this integral picture, i.e. the World Outlook, could be compared to a map, while the Images with which it was chartered - with sort of aerial photographs, reflecting precisely the fragments of reality, with the exception of small detail.

Experience is a sequence of those snapshot images, arranged in chronological order. 

Memory – the very same snapshot images re-arranged dimensionally, semantically. 

In case of a national consciousness, to be examined later, History plays the role of Experience, while Culture - the role of Memory. 

Experience (history) is always individual, idiosyncratic, and refers to the Past. 

Recalling, replicating and propagating experience, the Memory (Culture) generalizes it and links with the Present. 

Notions (Science for national consciousness) are abstract signs, reflecting reality conditionally. They serve as building blocks for creating an integral picture of the world, the World Outlook. 

The unity of the outlook is achieved through abstraction, distancing oneself from concrete objects, facts and events and focusing on their links. 

Values – guidance marks on the map, as well as one’s own compass (conscience for the virtuous people – though there could be other beacons). Following those guidance marks-beacons, one can achieve one’s goals-ideals.

Synthesis of its own structures, starting with Experience, which reflects the Past, including World Outlook – the Present, and ending with Ideals – the Future, allows the consciousness to reach its final goal – to overcome Space-Time division and achieve Eternity.

This process of synthesis is made up of Big Cycles of mind fluctuations – from the ground level - to the top - and back; and of small cycles, when fluctuations take place within a certain level, frequency band.

The small cycle is made up of two phases: 1^st “positive” phase of “expiration”, expansion of energy-information content of the mind; and 2^nd “negative” phase, of “inspiration”, contraction of energy-information content; each of which passes 3 stages-periods 1) Tension-perception 2) Activity-analysis 3) Relaxation-synthesis.

So the energy-information exchange between the consciousness and reality starts with the 1^st positive phase’s 1^st period, marked by a feeling of growing tension (arousal) – brought about by a compression of the consciousness’ form (reflection) to such a degree that reflection stops. Pure perception-recording of the reality flow by the 1^st pole “Experience” is taking place. (In the case of the national consciousness, it’s History, which records facts and events of national significance).

The 2^nd period sets in when 2^nd pole “Memory” starts reflecting sensory perception, i.e. recollecting, and radiating the images, thus expanding its energy-information content. In other words, the structures of 2^nd pole are tensed so as to make the inside and outside pressure equal – the way we instinctively tense our muscles to meet sudden challenge. 

As soon as the speed of reflection (outgoing flow) catches up with the speed of reception (incoming flow), the feeling of tension is replaced by the feeling of lightness (euphoria), a sign of beginning resonance.

It’s as if a passenger train sped past you, looking out a window of a commuter train at some station. To make it out what it was, you tense, your whole body, thoughts, and stare freeze, (1^st period) - but all you can perceive is rumbling, screeching sound and a colored blot. 

But when your commuter train starts (2^nd period) and catches up with the fellow-traveler train, you’ll be able to make out all in detail (sometimes intimate). This is resonance. Complete and integral perception of reality. 

A sharp increase in amplitude, during this energy-information exchange between consciousness and reality, triggers partial (sometimes complete) destruction of form, internal structures (memory – in this case). 

As a result, the consciousness starts loosing frequency and speed. Because of the emerging phase-frequency shift the energy of a weaker one (consciousness) flows to a stronger one (the reality flow).

 The weaker is compensated by acquiring experience – if the mind succeeds in learning a lesson from it (in processing its experience) it will move upward along the line of evolution. (One beaten is worth two good ones).

If the mind fails to extract any meaning, being attracted by euphoria, its further contacts with the high-frequency flow of reality would lead to its destruction. The flow will devour it literally. Drug addiction and alcoholism is a good example of this.

The 3^rd period is marked by a decline in the activity of the 2^nd pole, radiating images.  During it, the mind is seeking to compose an integral picture out of those episodes it glimpsed during a fleeting resonance and afterwards recollected. 

This picture will be positive, with exaggerated self-esteem, which in extreme cases forms sadistic, aggressive stereotypes of behavior. Its synthesis ends as soon as radiation, expansion of energy-information content, ceases.

The 2^nd “negative” phase of the small cycle of mind fluctuations starts after a change of the vector of movement – from expansion to contraction. 

Radiation of the energy-information content is replaced by its reception. A period of tension sets in once again. This time the feeling of tension is accompanied by painful experiences, because the mind has already lost some of its energy during resonance and cannot counter the growing outer pressure by similar rise of the inner one. 

To compensate for the deficit, the mind switches polarities, and instead of the active resistance (1^st phase 2^nd period) switches to active cooperation, i.e. instead of active discharge it resorts to active intake. 

When the speed of intake catches up with the speed of reality flow, the painful tension is replaced by euphoria. A new resonance is achieved in which an integral “negative” picture of the flow is perceived. 

The 2^nd period of the 2^nd phase is painful, because the system changes its polarities (changes the structure of its poles) slowly, usually under pressure, threatening it with complete and imminent destruction. Besides, this resonance is achieved at the expense of a quick destruction of those structures of the 2^nd pole (Memory) which do not match the flow of reality. The images released in the break up, fill the form and ease off pressure.

In the 3^rd period, when activity drops significantly, a synthesis of a “negative” picture of reality flow, with lowered opinion of oneself, takes place, - which in extreme cases manifests itself as masochism, inwardly directed aggression, because this time the euphoria was achieved through self-destruction. 

It’s worth pointing out that while in the 1^st phase the energy-information exchange with reality proceeds, first, outward, from the mind-to the flow-then backward; in the 2^nd phase, first, inward, from the flow-to the mind-then outward. (In the first case the discharged energy-information goes clock-wise (right swastika), in the second, the received energy-information comes anti-clockwise (left swastika)). In the first case, the 2^nd pole acts as a power-wielding master, in the second, as an attentive servant, conforming to the will of the mighty ones.

When the activity of both poles ceases, the oscilations in the circuit of the 1^st level stop. A process of synthesis of both positive and negative pictures into a qualitatively new form – a notion, gets underway.

In terms of physics, a zero-amplitude phase-frequency shift takes place, a transfer to a higher (2^nd) level of “notions-World Outlook”. This transfer is experienced as “passage of sluice” – all sensory signals, both outward and inward, disappear. The mind focuses on itself, turning into pure awareness, the only means of rising to a higher level.

Similar processes take place on the 2^nd and 3^rd levels. Though, the crash of old ideals and values and synthesis of new ones, i.e. a period of self-awareness after all three levels have been passed, is accompanied by a halt in activity of all six poles. 

Their structures will begin breaking apart. This is experienced as dying of consciousness. Death is inevitable unless the consciousness succeeds in synthesizing new ideals, which are to adequately reflect the reality. If it succeeds, all the poles below will be restructured at once, and the mind’s emerging fluctuations will descend from the 3^rd level down to 1^st. 

While the ascension of the mind’s activity from the 1^st to 3^rd level is directed at a synthesis of knowledge, the descent – at its realization, in accordance with the principle “Practice is a criterion of theory”.

This is a general, simplified scheme of the Big Cycle of the mind’s fluctuations (from the 1^st level, frequency band, up to the 3^rd and back). In reality the process of this mind’s evolution is much more dramatic in its twists and turns. Its progress may be repeatedly checked by the mind’s spin fall into an abyss. Quite often the mind spends the whole life of its physical body by clinging to the 1^st level.

Taking a brief look at a weak mind’s most typical faults, one should, first of all, point out its attraction to resonance, not as a source of understanding, harmony and wholeness, but as a source of temporary joy, euphoria, a means to escape tension. 

This inclination to resonance manifests itself in pursuit of dangerous activities, sport, sex (resonance always affects your total being, but you reach it either through total mobilization or total surrender), to say nothing of alcohol and drugs. 

Besides, the resonance, its amplitude surge, brings about a feeling of might, power. And power is intoxicating. Starting to resonate, the weak consciousness explodes with aggression if its higher structures, like moral values, are in embryonic state.

In the end, a protracted resonance leads to self-destruction. 

Another most common mistake is made by a more discrete type, which satisfies itself with short surges of tension-energy, following sudden changes in the flow’s frequency, speed, i.e. after sudden slowdown or acceleration. 

This manifests itself in attraction to change – of impressions, style, fashion, partners, place of residence (tourism or vagrancy) and so on; or vice versa, in conservatism, dogmatism, stubbornness, desire to block progress so as to provoke energy outbreak and prove one’s significance.

Both faults are characteristic of the reflective type whose mind activity seldom rises above the 1^st level, i.e. those who have no outlook of their own but seek only outward attributes of the energy flow: excitement and power.

There’s a higher level of “spiritual corpses”, those who can adequately reflect reality, i.e. independently create notions, sometimes even outlook, but are shit-scared to live at the top level of “values-ideals”. 

To pass the 3^rd level, that is, to be able to partake of Eternity, the only source of restoring energy deficit, they lack one basic precondition – self-sacrifice. 

But they are shrewd enough to obtain the coveted energy by squeezing it out from other minds, using the same old principle of polarization: breaking-accelerating (the way hydroelectric power station works), or accelerating-breaking (the way accelerator-collider works). 

The former way is predominant, being easier to implement. This is similar to the way the man “squeezes out” energy from Nature, by blocking the water flow with a dam, building special hydro-technical installations (regulating water level in the reservoir, waterfall on turbines); power-generating facilities, the power-grid, etc. 

In other words, the main conditions for exploiting the object are observed 1) Division, polarization 2) Transformation of the squeezed out energy 3) Switching to one’s own life-support system 4) Control. 

In short, good old principle of “Divide and Rule!”

The main precondition for a sustained, harmonious development of evolutionary consciousness is free circulation of energy-information between reality and consciousness, which, for a constant revamp of its structures, gives away nearly as much as it takes in. 

The involutionary consciousness, inert minds, for whom a voluntary sacrifice and self-restructuring is tantamount to Death are forced to give up things through destruction of their structures – they suffer from illnesses, old age, conflicts, wars and what not. 

The majority of them accept this as unavoidable evil, but some are seeking to take the process under their control, i.e. to slow down and ease off their decay by organizing the decay of others. 

Understandably, the only way this parasitic type can get leverage over their victims is to infiltrate the existing structures of power. And the only power structure in Russia, which could create such a parasitic mechanism and run it effectively, i.e. control the whole process in such a way that neither the victim, nor isolated elements, even the chains of control, could surmise the true meaning of the developments, in Russia such power structures are the secret services, a safe haven for a power-seeking type of consciousness which fears all which is not under their control, in its possession, in its power. The way people, scared of nature, are seeking to control it by hedging themselves with things so as to create an illusion of security on the principle “What’s not seen, doesn’t’ exist” – in the same way the secret services, scared of people, society, are seeking to control it, by debasing the human being to a state of a thing. Their fear disappears as soon as society, the people, start fearing them. “Who cares that they hate us as long as they fear us?” is the motto of their relations with society. 

The way a pharisee doesn’t care about the laws of Nature’s development, as long as it continues to serve him, the same way the secret services do not care about society’s progress – as long as they keep control over it.

While the main task of the secret services in democracies is to protect their state secrets and steal foreign ones, the main task of the secret services in Russia is to keep control, that’s the only means of their parasitic existence. The true role of this body of state power is implicit in a remark, which General Kobaladze used to repeat when he was the Head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service public relations department. “We’ll work with the Devil himself if it suits

the interests of our state”. And it surely does.

Recruitment, obtaining formal acquiescence to collaborate with the secret services, is essential to securing permanent and complete control over a person. 

This process starts with the observation period (the same scheme of mind fluctuations is applied) implemented mainly through your next of kin, close friends, colleagues and neighbors. They are guided by the best of intentions. They were simply hinted that the secret service’s interest in you was motivated by their desire to facilitate your career. “We need such guys” is their usual cryptic explanation. The information collected on you is always double-checked through “chance’ acquaintances – we readily confide in those who we’ll never encounter again. 

They are determining your code – a system of signals to which you react and which could be used to control you. It comprises ideals, values, motives, inclinations, stereotypes of thinking and behavior – in short, all which can define the nature of your perception-interaction with reality. 

Among those most likely to fall victim are the minds inadequately reflecting reality, seeking excitement and power. Such consciousnesses usually pay exaggerated attention to their outer form, the ego (See p.2), they regard themselves as something special, and are affected by excessive demands and quenchless desires. 

To make such type resonate, the secret services create an artificial reality, a make-believe world, in which all fantastic notions and stupid whims of this consciousness come true.

Problems and conflicts, earlier present due to incessant desires, disappear with a wave of a magic wand: the authorities and the public now treat your misdemeanors as “pleasant follies” which all talents and geniuses are perfectly entitled to. 

Meeting no outside resistance whatsoever, the consciousness starts experiencing terrific internal pressure of its ego. This wretch starts rapidly growing in his own esteem (1^st phase, 2^nd period), his feeling of self-importance blowing out of all proportions. 

As soon as the secret services make sure that this person developed firm conviction that he’s a “God-chosen”, free to act as he pleases (positive picture of 3^rd period), these illusions are ruthlessly dashed. A friend of mine, who used to have links with the Occult Department of the KGB, called this method metaphorically “recruitment of a patched up rubber”. 

The rubber, being a person with hypertrophied ego, which one group of persons inflates to a preposterous size, then the other group, unexpectedly for the elated rubber, punctures. Such momentous transformation from a God-chosen one to a disposable specimen of consumer culture for this consciousness means total collapse, because all its notions, outlook, values and ideals were ego-centered. 

Now stern-looking people tell him what he’s actually worth (form negative picture) and what’s to become of him unless he agrees to collaborate. After which this bust consciousness is patched up, inflated and painted as good as new. Of course, this time no one cares which seize or color the bust condom would prefer to have.

This is a classic, most often used way to bring the mind into resonance, with subsequent destruction of its structures. (Destruction, because instead of giving the mind a chance to figure out its faults and reach wholeness, they conceal, drive them inwards and ruthlessly exploit them). 

The main thing in such recruitment is to facilitate any manifestation of your consciousness, no matter a weakness or virtue, any desire, inclination, any stereotype, or prejudice: ethnic, social, political. The victim, encountering no resistance whatever, explodes from within, due to its own conflicting drives, so far constrained by the fear of punishment or condemnation. 

This is similar to the principle of Aiki-do martial arts in which the victory is achieved if you start moving in unison with your opponent, with the same speed and in the same direction. When unison is achieved, add a slight momentum to your opponent, and he’ll be reeling off balance. If your opponent is cautious, non-aggressive, provoke him into active steps, give him a shove and follow the scheme above.

Of those 3 types of consciousness’ level (reflective, informational and spiritual), the secret services value spiritual one most, it being a walking deposit of untapped energy-information.

First of all, such type is polarized, split internally, through gradual corruption of its outlook, increasing the gap between it and the values and ideals level. That the goal is achieved becomes evident as soon as its actions and statements begin to contradict his professed values and ideals.

The main thing in this long-lasting operation of desinformation is to build a barrier between the flow of reality and the mind, to shut the outside world off, then make access to it controlled, the link with the reality one-sided.

 The consciousness must make do with what they feed it – all attempts of free thought are ruthlessly quashed. This semiconductor barrier is erected with the help of half-truths, half-lies. That is, the picture of reality they produce is full, but distorted. 

This function is now successfully performed by the mass media, which usually gives different points of view, but shifts accents, distorts proportions, omits something, which is replaced by insinuations or guesswork.

Gradually the human consciousness becomes accustomed (and later addicted) to contradictions and conflicts, concealed by dogma and hypocrisy. Finally, the consciousness gives up attempting to compose an integral picture of the world. 

These seduction tactics require patience. Without questioning person’s values and ideals, they explain unobtrusively why in some cases one has to give up certain ideals and values. Sometimes, they say, for tactical considerations one should better compromise, close one’s eyes to a lie, especially if it’s done unselfishly, for a just cause. The majority of virtues people fall prey to this.

If you hate the injustice and are prepared to fight against the Evil – so there’s obviously no use persuading you of the benefit of compromise – your intolerance will be strongly encouraged until you accept the idea that all means, fair or foul, are good to fight the Evil; that morals, commandments, and non-violence ideas were just ploys to make honest people give up their struggle. 

Those with no experience, outlook and insight, who have no methodology to draw independent conclusions, are helpless to find their way in this cleverly spun web of half-lie, half-truths. 

After 2-3 well-intentioned blunders, you’ll get bogged down. Your conduct will be given interpretations loaded against you beforehand. You’ll be accused of the most appalling sins. 

The exact choice of a set-up is determined by the things you value or abhor most. If you value your family, they accuse you of infidelity, if you hate thieves, they’ll accuse you of theft. The revolting nature of lie, the emerging, as if by command, dirty leer of colleagues and neighbors may prove too much for those who put too much value on their reputation.

If they see the method of gradual seduction doesn’t work (you proved more experienced and clever than your recruiters and escape their traps just in time) you are allowed no time to assess the situation. 

For the purpose of which they exploit stereotypes of your conduct. Say, if you don’t give a second thought to defending the weak, stand up for justice, a just-for-you conflict scenario will be drawn up and acted out, in which you, as a true hero, are to rescue the victim and punish the culprits. 

Don’t look surprised to find that the victim turns into the main witness for the prosecution, the culprits – into victims, and you, instead of being a hero, are labeled as criminal. 

The law enforcement officers will treat you with fatherly care, each time expressing their sympathies, “Such a decent, noble person, but… 'Dura lex sed lex'. Of course, it would be incredibly stupid of you, with your brains and your noble character, to spend a long term with all sorts of scum and morons. Unless you agree…”

Any strong manifestation of your character, any involuntary movement of your soul, negative or positive, is immediately accelerated, blown out to absurdity, conflict. 

There’s no use playing with the Devil, unless you sacrificed your life to God, and proved it, passing through Death.

If this is not the case, the moral-ethical values are your only and tested safety line, which they’ll try to cut off, claiming that these norms are pure conventionalities, resulting from social, historical and cultural background – nothing but dogmas and prejudices, blocking the progress of civilization.

Whereas morals, a list of commandments and recommendations, is a sort of a safety manual for those who enter life, and have a scant knowledge of its inner set and work, and therefore, have no idea as to what consequences of his mistaken actions might be. 

In such cases the moral-ethical code is taken on faith and is blindly followed, as any religion requires it. In this respect religion resembles a technical manual, giving a brief description of the mechanism’s inner set, explaining the principles of its work, then focusing on definite, clear-cut instructions on its use. 

In real life these instructions of use are breached sometimes, due to haste, absent-mindedness, and circumstances – the design regime of the mechanism’s work is broken –snags and faults develop. 

One could appeal for help to the Master or Creator, but that may cost dearly, for they are reputed for their short shrift. Besides, the consumer has already gained some experience in exploiting the mechanism and thinks he knows the principles of its work. 

So he opens the lid, studies the device and concludes that Creator in his folly put a lot of superfluous things in the mechanism without which its functioning could only but improve. He takes them out and the mechanism, indeed, performs even better, but not for long before it stops. 

These procedures of improvement are repeated until the mechanism stops dead. Then the consumer takes the mechanism to the Master along with those extracted parts, which haven’t been lost yet. Giving explanations to the Master, few confess to their own folly, the majority shift the blame on their children’s pranks.

The principle of the break up of human consciousness, its spiritual degradation is similar.

He, whose study of this world began with the destruction, is to learn nothing but his own folly.

It’s a well-established fact, which even the Russian secret services sometimes admit grudgingly, that deeply religious persons, as well as “ordinary” people possessing strong, and integral character cannot be recruited.

Which doesn’t mean, though, that the secret services will give up their attempts to take them under their control. They simply change tactics. This old friend of mine who liked metaphors, called it “chasing the bull in a corral” – until he lies down, exhausted, so that a ring can be inserted in his nose”. 

The main condition of this orchestrated persecution is that not a single provocation, if taken isolated, must look as such. Just an endless chain of petty, personal, household incidents, absolutely, even deliberately, absurd – just in case some of those “misfits” would risk asserting that his mishaps are the result of the persecution and tell honestly all the details. His ravings will cause laughter, at best, - at worst, they’ll find him suffering from “mania of persecution”. Just what the secret services sought. 

This, seemingly harmless method, is in effect, one of the most dangerous ones: Have you ever seen a horse, chased by a swarm of gadflies? – galloping mad with the blinding pain? Now, could you imagine that so small an insect could do such damage to so big animal? 

Well, the human being can be chased for years, throughout his life, if necessary. 

The only thing that helps in such cases is a good sense of humor, an ability to assess situation from a different perspective and to find each time a new unconventional solution. 

If you cannot do this, they’ll manipulate you even without resorting to actual recruitment – suffice it to know the algorithm of your thoughts and actions.

If none of those tactics work, neither “rape” for “reflective” minds of the 1^st level, nor seduction for the intellectual level, or harassment for the spiritual level – they resort to open reprisals (just the stick and no carrot) deliberately driving him into die-hard opposition, blinded by the hate, following a principle “the more he hates, the less he thinks”. 

Sincere hatred of such an opposition toward the regime raises no doubts. It always has a following among those who are equally blind in their hatred. 

The blind need leadership, and they get it...

This opposition could be compared to a small bunch of wild beasts in a circus.

To entertain the public, and what’s more important, to keep it in perpetual consternation, regular performances are staged: beasts of prey of all sorts are let out of cages into the arena. The beasts roar, opening their awesome jaws, baring their teeth. 

The overawed public is unaware that the beasts have long been worked with while in cages, their habits are well known, besides they feed them before their entrance. 

The only thing the audience is allowed to see is a tamer, lashing fiercely at the bloodthirsty beasts to make them jump, and shooting sporadically to remind them of the invisible barrier between play and life. 

The audience’s blood is curdling with fear. It roars in agitation to acknowledge the bravery, strength and stamina of the tamer. 

The audience adores the circus – that’s the main thing. It has to – they may forget to feed the beasts, and if those hungry wild animals succeed in breaking out their cages… 

"Gentlemen, comrades, brothers and sisters! Buy tickets to our performance! Hurry up, people. It’s only here and now!"

The way a physical body alleviates, compensates tension through movement, a polarized, split consciousness, too, starts moving, looking for a way to get rid of tension. 

At this moment it’s offered-imposed an old and tested way-out – collaboration with the system: “Your problems – our solutions; your energy – in exchange for our ways and means to solve your problems.”

 Naturally, cooperation with the system won’t lift pressure, it will simply create an illusion of its absence – you simply swap your own problems for the problems of the system. 

Whatever choice you’re to make, the system will try to integrate you: those spiritually raped, with the broken will are to be attached to the system’s official, ruling part (or, rather, officially ruling) of the chain of government; 

the bunch of dissidents whose willpower is not yet broken but whose conduct is predictable and, therefore, controllable enough; because their reason is blinded by desire to avenge, - a sign they’ve already accepted the rules of the game, - these are rounded in the opposition. 

Thus two polarities, positive and negative, in the system of government are built. 

After this the system, motivated by its own considerations, can either raise tension on its polarities, throwing its slaves into panic, mobilizing their efforts and squeezing out the last drops of their energy, or lower it, giving them a chance to catch their breath, or breathe their last. 

While the bottom level of government compensates for their fear by collaboration, the top level – by instilling fear in those below. 

While the bottom level, which knows nothing of the root-cause of the conflict, is compelled to discharge its energy – the top level, having organized the conflict, consumes energy, like vampires. 

Naturally, only those who degraded completely, having spent all their spiritual potential in the process of collaboration, get to the top. 

Their only way of survival is to extract the energy from others, using the acquired knowledge of government. 

Thus, a vicious circle is formed, in which the only way for those spiritually raped is to rape others.

The key role in one’s integration in this vicious circle of government and subsequent work in it is played by people with whom one has close relations of complete trust, like friendship or love. 

The secret services are sponging not just on human consciousness, destroying it beyond recognition, but also on God-given human relations, like friendship and love, a natural tendency of spiritually close consciousnesses to reach singleness by forming complementary ties, relations of exclusively spiritual order, because they’re based on unselfishness, free will, equality and complete trust. 

Those principles which make it possible to form exceptionally strong and flexible ties, because the distribution of the role-polarities “leader-follower” there depends entirely on the situation. 

They destroy those ties the same way they destroy individual consciousness. 

As soon as they succeed in spiritual rape of one partner, they immediately demand he participate in the rape of the other. 

After which, to make the reaction of fission self-sustainable – the role of the former is revealed to the latter – the stigma of “Judas” is the best guarantee that someday he won’t succumb to remorse and try to wriggle out of their control.

 Besides, the latter, whose suppressed hatred of the system which raped him is inevitable, is bound, learning of his friends’ treason, to switch his hatred from the system onto his friend. 

Small wonder the initial relations of love and friendship, transformed by the secret services, resemble strongly a tangle of vipers, made up of intertwined mutual grudges, fears, and unsettled scores. 

The secret services get what they wanted – this ghastly, venomous tangle is impossible to unwind.

To determine the role of secret services in manipulation of the national consciousness one must examine briefly a cycle of change of “ideology-national values” polarities. 

One must stress that the structure of national consciousness is similar to that of individual one, with “Experience-Memory” polarities of 1^st level of individual consciousness corresponding to “History-Culture” of the national one; “Notions-World Outlook” of the 2^nd level to “Science-Philosophy”; “Values-Ideals” of 3^rd level to “National values-Ideology (Religion)”. 

A period of new ideology rise is preceded by a short transitional period – revolution – a period of replacement of old ideology by a new one – a change of vector in history development and its guidance marks, values. 

During the revolution, the tension in the hierarchical structure of the national conciseness drops sharply, then lowered to zero by the proclamation of “new” values of “Freedom, Equality, and Fraternity”. 

The more of them to come, the deeper they’ll destroy old structures, which perceive “new” values as “anarchy, larceny, and promiscuity”. 

These are obligatory conditions for ideology change. 

After a period of national coma, a new ideology becomes official, and starts burgeoning, which, first, triggers tension – 1^st period; then a "parting” tide of the energies of old ideology – “Civil war”, i.e.  2^nd Active period; and finally a 3^rd period of relaxation, which is always marked by “A step forward – two backward”. 

In the case of the burgeoning phase of communist ideology, this period of relaxation was marked by a temporary restoration of small and medium-sized enterprise. This phase ended with the emergence of a new state, the USSR, a material carrier of the communist ideology – and with the death of Vladimir Lenin, its founder.

A new phase of expansion, material realization of communist ideology, was implemented by Stalin. 

As usual, it began with the period of tension –awareness of growing external threat – countered by a period of Activity – rapid industrialization. 

To balance growing external pressure, internal tension was heightened: party purges, reprisals. 

Still, the communist teaching of struggle of social classes was unable to explain the need for reprisals against party comrades – it defined the enemy in accordance with the “class principle”. 

Deep inside the NKVD secret service a secret theory was hatched then about the enemies of the state:  a degenerative “destructive type” of consciousness. (Gregory Klimov, a defector to the West, described this wonderfully in his books, devoted to the work of the 13^th Department of the NKVD-KGB). 

That’s how Marxist-Leninist ideology was secretly substituted by a vulgarized version of Lombrozo-Freud theories richly laced with the occult. 

Whether such formal approach to those sources resulted from sheer ignorance or was it politically motivated - –it's hard to say, but it did cost lives to many. 

Where class ideology failed to consolidate the nation, the fear of “red inquisition” succeeded. 

Soon, the period of activity entered its resonance peak – the war with the national-socialist Germany. The mixture of official communist ideology and secret satanic theory of NKVD was failing to mobilize the whole nation to face the challenge of Death. 

The national consciousness was frantically recollecting from its “History-Culture” the forgotten episodes and restoring those, which had been re-written-distorted by ideology. The authorities, appealing to the nation, didn’t address them as “comrades or citizens”, but as “brothers and sisters”. 

They hastily released from prisons the carriers of much deeper layers of culture – clergy, military and technical experts, even some criminals – in fact representatives of all three levels of national consciousness. 

The integral picture of reality which the national consciousness perceived at the time matched poorly the theory.

After the resonance of the war, the pressure of ideology started to drop, being replaced by the terror waged by the secret services. Those who got rid of their fear – there is usually quite a few of them after each war – were blacklisted and eliminated by the KGB. 

Later on they even were slandering those heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country. Their country no longer needed heroes, only slaves. 

That’s how the KGB’s 13^th Department perpetrated the most horrid, truly satanic, of crimes – the desecration of sacrifice.

 The phase of material realization of the communist ideology, which continued its expansion, though at a lower pace, with the formation of a socialist bloc, this phase ended with Stalin’s death.

Next phase of ideological decline started with Khrushchev and his “thaw” policy, when first tentative steps were taken to revise history, culture and even ideology. 

Still, the power of inertia made ideology expand even further, though visibly slower, which manifested itself in the world national-liberation movement. 

Replacement of one leader, Krushchev, by the other, Brezhnev, did little to boost ideological potential, it only marked the final period in its decline phase, known as “stagnation period”, the period in which a new “positive” integral picture of reality was supposed to emerge. 

Emerge it did – a “theory of developed socialism” – a stillborn child of official senile ideology, which at the time retained only its ritual aspect. 

All attempts to break the life-stifling ideological dogmas – all independent research in psychology, sociology, statistics and philosophy that could become groundwork for a new ideology – were suppressed by the KGB. The drop of mobilizing idea potential was compensated by a rising role of fear, as a locomotive force of government.

It’s not accidental that the army, in which at the time practically all male population had to serve, developed a cult of violence, used to whale out of the youth, just starting to learn their social role, the remnants of “idealistic rubbish”, which their parents and teachers still preached to them. (This widespread violence also created ideal conditions for recruitment of stool pigeons on mass scale). 

Later on, when ordinary violence became customary, pressure had to be increased – and the army began drafting criminals – ordinary violence deteriorated into murder and rape. 

It longer sufficed for the ruling regime  to have its subjects scared, it wanted to have them raped – this symbolic act of spiritual lowering became its trademark. 

Naturally, any talk about the Military Code of Honor in this kind of the army had the same puzzling effect as vegetarian diet discussions among cannibals.

It’s only natural that after their demobilization the young men who passed this initiation into modern style slavery, acted like slaves: work less, steal more. 

The pivotal ideal of the socialist system: free, creative labor was smashed.

The change of the vector of historical movement, rejection of the communist ideals and values, compromised by the ruling regime, and later reversal to the old liberal values, coincided with Gorbachev’s rule, his “transformation of thinking”. 

The former lecturers of “Scientific communism”, and part-time KGB agents, began preaching human values, and tolerance to the skeptical flock. 

As in all revolutions, to destroy old hierarchical structures they proclaimed all imaginable freedoms: freedom of information and freedom of travel, pluralism of opinion, multiparty system, workers equal rights in the decision-making, religious, cultural, national and other freedoms.

After the change of the vector, the phase of expansion of the communist ideology was replaced by the phase of its contraction, which manifested itself, under new libertarian conditions, in the emerging outbreaks of ethnic conflicts, collapse of the socialist bloc and troops pull out from Afghanistan. 

The war veterans, praised earlier as heroes, fighting for the internationalist cause, with the change of ideological vector, and in full correspondence with the satanic logic of 13^th Department of the KGB, became smeared as a bunch of schizophrenics, drug addicts, sadists and murderers.

The drop of the communist ideology potential in the national consciousness below critical level resulted in the collapse of its material carrier, the USSR, and the ban of the CPSU in 1991.

The acceptance of a new edition of the old liberal ideology by the national consciousness was marked by Yeltsin’s presidency in a new state, the Russian Federation.

In 1993, the liberal game of “Freedom, Equality, and Fraternity, was brought to a halt with the mass execution of parliamentary opposition – a blood-bath, organized by the Russian secret services to suppress the burgeoning political initiative of the masses, the process evoked by Gorbachev's perestroika. 

The role of the leaders of parliamentary opposition was quite symbolic there -–they acted like goats-provocateurs used at the slaughter houses so as to lure the naive cattle under the butcher’s sledge – after they did their job, they were let out the parliament building unharmed, under tender protection of the special units of the secret services. 

After which the rank-and-file defenders of the Constitution were smudged on the walls of the parliament by the cumulative shells, pounding the building. 

The protest potential of those who didn’t take up arms in defense of the Constitution was immediately wasted into a “loud whistle” – early parliamentary elections and passage of a new Constitution, organized by the KGB "democrats". Their stooge won the elections, while the new Constitution stripped parliament of all power, restoring in Russia actual monarchy, the reign of Tsar Boris.

With the destruction of political freedoms, economic freedom of enterprise came under attack – during the privatization all national property was seized by Yeltsin’s clan and those behind it, the secret services. 

The logic of construction of a new hierarchy of power required further curbing of freedoms, first of all, those given to the provinces. 

Chechnya was selected for a whipping boy, despite the fact that her claims to autonomy were not greater than those of Tatarstan. The reason was that Chechens remained the only people in Russia not under the secret services control, and were making their independence demonstrative. 

The attack on Chechnya, organized by the secret services, was deliberately indiscriminate, in accordance with the principle: “The enemy blinded by vengeance is as harmless as a friend, lowered to a toilet seat”.

 It soon became evident, though, that the regime, crumbling from corruption, was unable to maintain the required level of terror. The ostensible assassination of General Rokhlin, the leader of the military opposition, didn’t change this trend either. 

The system, feeling threatened, replaced Yeltsin by Putin under a slogan of patriotism, thus opening a period of the secret services Open Government.

For the first time in their history, the secret services broke their main commandment: “Pulling control levers, stay in the shadows”, which clearly indicated that Russian drama reached is peak to be followed by a short finale – for “the spider leaves its hideout after making sure its entangled victim gave up any struggle". 

Their steps to put down the remaining pockets of resistance, like attempts to take under their control mass media, human rights, youth movements and other NGOs, to smash labor movement and frame up espionage cases, indicate their awareness of the significance of the moment. 

They badly need unity to function as state power. To reach Unity, their present motto of the day, they spare no effort in their old “Divide and rule” policy.

The problem is there’s hardly anything to divide, without triggering a chain reaction of division. Besides, unity results from common and clear perception – world outlook, ideology – of which we have none.

The regime teeters and its paralysis and disintegration is inevitable and imminent. The new change of vector of historical development, revolution, will take form of a return of the left – so we’ll have more “Freedom, Equality and Fraternity”. 

But if they fail to produce any coherent ideology during this short period, the state will be impossible to reassemble. 

The secret services, obviously, are taking preparatory steps for the left comeback. The recent arrests of the leader of the National Bolsheviks and their youth activists on clumsily framed up charges of terrorism, aimed at “locking the young beast in a cage and give him an intensive course of taming” indicate that the secret services are seeking to tap a new source of protest potential, and possibly create a new bunch of puppet leaders. 

Their mania to control everything has resulted in a gruesome situation in which the dead grip the dying. 

This process will continue as long as they continue denying people their God-given Right – the freedom of choice, with its subsequent responsibility – the right, without which no evolution of human consciousness is possible.

P.S. Whatever ideology is to emerge, if any, it’s bound to be based on this God-given right of the freedom of choice and subsequent responsibility for it,

on the understanding that only He, who created human consciousness, can effectively control its work, that all attempts to manipulate it produce temporary effects, but trigger long-time consequences. 

It’s also to recognize and take into consideration the existence of unity of two opposite ways of interaction between the consciousness and reality, thus two forces, processes – creative and destructive. It’s up to the individual consciousness to decide which force to serve, provided the choice is made openly, with full appreciation of its consequences. 

It’s worth noting that this kind of arrangement already existed in human history, its traces are evident in the Vedic culture and religion of various nations…
