Speck's Little Blog

A brief outline of the life of a cat named Speck, who has travelled all over Canada.

Oh and I forgot to mention! We never moved. I have emailed some of you with this news but now it's official. Our world headquarters remains where it has been for a year now. Phew!

Just thought that bore mentioning. Thanx for the flowers anyway. (They were delicious!)

Long time since I wrote here and you can blame Adam. I like him and all - he brings home some amazing cheese once in awhile - but for god's sake he keeps leaving the chair too far from the keyboard. I used to use the laptop but I can't open the bag. Laptops just fit my hands better. This is killing my day-trading patterns let me tell you. :/

Anyway I sound like I'm whiney. At least I got to pre-register for voting. On the internet nobody really knows you're a cat. And it's true! Just please don't tell my accountant.

Not much else to tell. Adam works a lot lately and it's screwing up my ability to make sure I have food for guests. Having said that: My guests keep failing to show up. There are three cats in our neighborhood and all three of them keep coming to the window and claiming they want to come in. I give them my card, which clearly shows my schedule, and they say they'll show, and then they don't. So if any of them are reading this: you owe me for lots of spoiled paté and bordeaux. (Maybe that was it: it's summer after all. Damn!)

Speaking of the election: I saw nothing that said it wasn't okay for me to vote. Having said that, I couldn't get outside to do it. I just hope Adam didn't screw it up. We tend to disagree on these things but since he's the food-on-the-table guy I have to acquiesce. Anyway whatever. It meant we got to watch a bit of news together and that's more than I can say lately. Been stuck with crazy British news channels since he upgraded to digital cable. Not that I mind. Never seen Britain. Hopefully I get to go someday.

I should go. I just thought I'd update. For my international friends I say hello and thanks for reading and alerting me to the spammer who sent hundreds of thousands of messages using my email address. Spam is not very nice is it? I promise to hunt whoever it was down, in my way.

Off I go. Fresh tea! :)
