Speck's Little Blog

A brief outline of the life of a cat named Speck, who has travelled all over Canada.

Adam keeps going on about how his stuff is coming soon. From something called "Storage". I've never been there. He sounds very excited so it makes me happy.

We began watching Gangs of New York the past couple of days. It's a very loud show! I like it though. Haven't seen much of Scorsese lately. Adam has been on a TV kick. Documentaries etc. I don't pay much attention.

I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend but I might get back onto trying to open the cupboards. These ones are stiffer than our last place, and there's no dog hair to keep me away from them. Good times.

Must go check my portfolio again. I think the tech industry might be on a bigger rebound than the bigwigs say.

Off I go.

Man: I'm hungry these days! I usually wait til Adam comes home to eat but yikes: starrving.

I like our new kitchen. I get to watch raccoons now, not just tasty birds. Very cool. I have no idea what they're up to but they sure are entertaining me whatever it is they do. Wish I could meet them.

There's so much light in our new place. It's causing me to sleep a lot more. Fine by me. Not that I'm too busy or anything. At least not at this time of year.

I may not update this every day. There's just so much going on now. Adam is talking about his "stuff" arriving this weekend. I wonder if that includes my toys! Wow. I haven't seen them in years. He bought me new ones but I didn't like any of them. I miss my soccer ball. Hours of fun.

I have to get back to.... something. I forget what. Hm....

Bye!

Man: I'm having weird sleep again.

I think with the last place I was just used to sleeping weird hours. Now I'm mostly freaked out living in the new apartment. I love the sunlight it gets though.

Adam is having an easier time waking up early so I think for the next several days I'm going to try switching things up a bit. It used to be 4:29 on the nose. Last couple of days: 6-ish. The new doors make much more noise so this should be an interesting experiment.

Yesterday was some kind of holiday or something. I mostly helped Adam get his computer set up. I like to help. He's doing it all wrong.

Have to go sleep some more. Keeping my eye on that Peet coffee stock. It's a grower!

Wow. What a crazy few weeks we've had.

My owner (Adam, some of you may know him) decided out of nowhere we were moving. This was back in April. Well on the 26th of June, off we went. I was put into a kennel while he and his roommate Joanne moved everything into a new place. Jerry, Joanne's cat, was also kenneled during this time.

It's been hectic. While it's true we did get fed, groomed, vaccinated, etc. while in the kennel; it's also true that we still have no idea what to make of the new place. I'm glad we still get fed and all that. But I mean... can we stop moving now?

Adam has assured me this is the case. I don't like much about the new place except for the birds which flit around our windows. They look tasty.

I have to go and bask in this unbearable heat. Thank you for reading.
