The natural location where a plant or animal normally lives. This section of the web site will provide information about the various habitats, ecosystems, and communities of our earth. Several different types of events can cause a species to become endangered, but the main reason many animals have become endangered is because humans are destroying their habitats. Everything in the natural world, large or small, plays its part in the balance of nature. Unfortunately, people, while a part of this world, have upset the balance and have become like unnatural threats to the well-being of the planet as a whole. However, the fact remains whatever affects the whole will also affect the parts. Eventually, any change made to the environment will affect us in some way so it is important that we protect our plant, animal, and mineral neighbors. |
