Intro to Featured Pages

Also you should notice that I have changed a few of the sets and reduced many of the graphics for faster loading. Most of the graphics on my pages are free to use (not just the ones on the featured pages), but a link is required to use any of them. As long as you see one of my logos and my permission comment, you may download them for use on your own personal web pages. ~~~NEW~~~ Coming soon, I am going to create zip files for each set that you can download. I am hoping to link these files to the registration site so by registering you get the added convenience of nabbing one file.

On the following pages you will find samples of my border sets featured each week. My goal is to have a set for every week of the year, fifty-two in all. Because of the artwork in these sets, they tend to be somewhat large. Downloading the graphics are easy. Just follow these steps:

Instructions for copying a graphic apply to Netscape, Internet Explorer, and NCSA Mosaic for Windows. To copy a graphic:

Move your cursor over the graphic.
Press the right mouse button.
Choose Save this Image As from the pop-up menu.
Click on Save or OK button to save the image. (Pay attention to where the image is saved on your hard drive.)
The file names are usually very long and that means you might have to rename them before saving.

Please do NOT link the DESIGNS back to my site! PLEASE download them to your OWN directory. Please understand what you are doing when you are linking to graphics on someone else's site instead of downloading them to your own ftp directory. If you link directly to images on other's sites, you are returning the generosity of those who create free graphics with the extreme unkindness of "bandwidth robbery." This is a terrible practice and has brought real harm to the sites of many artists on the web.

I have received a few requests for a graphic to link to my pages because people wished to support me in my efforts for environmental causes. Some even suggested that I require a link to my pages which is a standard when providing free web graphics.

The only thing I request if someone uses any of my graphics is that they make some sort of link to an environmental cause of their choice on the page. My own personal pages don't really have the quanity or quality of information about these topics that needs to get out to the public. Therefore, I am still not requiring a link to my web site. My only requirement continues to be a link to an environmental cause.

However, for those of you that want to support my efforts and direct others to my pages, I have finally worked up a number of graphics that can be used to link to my pages. They are bigger files than I wanted, but I am going to work on smaller ones in the future. Please don't link directly to these images. You must download them and then upload them to your own server.
