Personal Stuff
This is me when I was a little girl.  Back then, my two best friends in the world were our dogs, Brownie and Susie.  I hate to tell you how old this picture really is, but I will.  It is about thirty-five or thirty-six years old.  As of 1999, I am approaching my 39th birthday on March 2.

Most of my family lives in Kansas on farms.  My immediate family moved out to Southern California when I was five and I have been here ever since.  My cousins always hated it when I visited because I would cry and have a fit if they shot birds or frogs or anything with their bee-bee guns while I was there.  I guess I have always been sympathetic to animals and stood up for their rights.

I worked as an accounting supervisor until about five years ago and then took time off to care for my aging parents.  My fondest wish is to be a writer.  Unfortunately, creativity in accouting is frowned upon, so I didn't care much for my career.  I also don't share many values with most people working in big business.  Though I am terribly poor at the moment, I am much happier than I was when I was making a living working in accounting.

A bit of my feelings and philosophy about nature ...

This is my baby boy, Geoff.  He is my pride and joy though he's not much of a baby anymore because he just turned 21.  Since this is my personal page I am going to indulge in a bit of bragging (nobody will probably read this page anyway).  My son is a mathematics major and is transferring to UCLA in the fall with a 4.0 gpa in classes like phyics and math at a level I can't even comprehend.  I was a English major so it is really interesting to watch my son excel in math and science.

My son loves animals too.  He has helped with this page.  He wants to travel to Africa someday.  I just hope and pray there will still be wild areas and wild animals in all parts of the world by the time he gets there.

If you are interested in things besides environmental issues and are a youngster like my son, then you might enjoy the page I helped him and his friends set up.  Just click on Geoff's picture to visit the BKG website.
