Tennesse Adventure & Myrtle Beach Bike Rally
Day 1 � May 5/07
Gary, Charlie (BIL), Leanne (niece), and myself got ready for our adventure. We loaded the bikes in the trailer, hitched the trailer to the truck, and buckled in for a longgggg road ahead. Drove straight through to Nashville, Tennessee. Left approx 6:30 a.m. and arrived approx 9:00 p.m.
Booked a hotel (America's Best Value Inn) for 2 nights @ $100 per night per couple - not that Charlie & Leanne are a couple! Ewwwwwwwwwww
We all refreshed ourselves, then headed downtown Nashville for a late dinner and some bar hopping. We had dinner at Rippy's Smokin' Bar & Grill. The pork chops were excellent! Strangest thing - people were smoking all around us, right at their tables! How weird is that???
After dinner, we hit some of the local bars such as Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar (I could just picture Steven Tyler visiting this place - just seemed his style!); The Stage on Broadway (I think I lost Gary right around here...) He didn't like the country music so left, while I ordered a couple of drinks and had fun singing along. They did rock as well as country, so it's too bad he didn't stick around. Finally, we left this one and headed to Coyote Ugly (a Leanne MUST see). That was a very cool bar, and Leanne seemed to enjoy it. LOL
Well, the clock had long since struck midnight, and Gary didn't want me turning into a pumpkin, so we said our goodbyes (Charlie & Leanne were gonna keep having fun!) and grabbed a cab back to the hotel. Got back at, like, 1:30 a.m. - I musta been a pumpkin by then! LOL
