A
School Horse's Day
By: Ashleigh Griffin |
 |
A 6-year-old Thoroughbred gelding
'Thump', 'slam',
Kids on my back,
Pulling on my mouth with a 'wham'.
The instructor says, "Walk",
They kick me into one
-
"Ouch! That hurts", I think, as I balk.
"Hiya" they cry,
Another "yeeha!"
I think I'm gonna die...
The lesson is finally done,
They get off and kick my rump,
And now I'm ready for fun!
"Good horsey," they say.
Going back to my stall and starting to eat,
I hope I'm done for today!
