LARRY MINOR PASSES AWAY (added 11/10)
May of of your thoughts and prayers be with Shane and his family. On Novmeber 9, Shane's father passed away. Here is the obituary taken from the Modesto Bee:

March 12, 1944 -- Nov. 9, 2000 Larry Carrol Minor, 56, of Turlock died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. Mr. Minor was a native of Modesto. He lived in Modesto and Turlock all of his life. He was a working cowboy for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Minor of Turlock; children, Shane Minor and Amber Minor, both of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Jan Minor of Fruitland, Idaho, and Betsy Lockhart of Morro Bay; and one grandchild. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto, in charge of arrangements.

BACK TO BOSNIA
You may remember that Shane joined Christie Brinkley and other celebrities on a USO trip to Bosnia to entertain troops. Shane was invited back and will head off in December!
SHANE'S GOT A NEW DEAL!
It is official! Shane Minor is now an official member of the RCA Records roster! He will hit the studio in October and his music will probably be shipped to radio for airplay by the beginning of the year! More details to come soon!

Many of you may remember Shane's effort about a year ago when he helped a Nevada couple, when they were trapped in their car? Well, Shane's hero radar went off once again about two weeks ago. Shane and his road manager were headed to TCBY for a a frozen treat, but when they arrived, the two girls behind the counter were crying hysterically and had the door bolted shut. They explained that they had just been robbed, and Shane and Luis just missed the robbery by about one minute. Shane got the scared girls to open the door by telling them he was an ex-lapd officer. Upon getting into the store, he called the police and helped take the report. Not only did he help contact the police, but actually stayed with the girls, helped them call their parents, and waited until the police got there. Our story source beilves Shane to have some kind of superman type karma! We agree! We don't know, however, if they ever got around to getting a triple scoop with jimmies or not...
ROPIN AND RIDIN FOR CHARITY
Those that know Shane, know that in addition to music, rodeo has always been one of his first loves. Shane has been once again indulging in his love for the sport, and is starting to team rope, hoping to compete soon. Our source says he loves it and says it is the closest thing he can do to riding bulls-- but the death factor is a little lower. He is also riding cutting horses and will compete again throughout the year. Although it was his first actual cutting competition, he won third last year in a celebrity cutting!! Shane is also working on putting together his own celebrity bullriding for charity and hopes to have it together next fall.

Webmaster Donna just got off the telephone with Shane and has a message to pass on...Shane is very, very close to finsihing up all the loose ends with his new record label! He will hit the studio with super-producer Dan Huff to begin cutting songs for his new album early this summer. (We hear he has some great music waiting to be heard!!)
Shane also wanted to say this to you, the fans..."I love ya'll! Thanks for hanging in with me!"
