The Great River Regional Coin Club meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month at Miller's Indoor Auto Plaza at 2930 2nd Street South, St. Cloud, MN. Meeting time is 6:30 PM and goes to approximately 8:30.

John K. has checked with Gold & Silver Rarities about giving out state
quarters at the next coin show. The club will pay 50% of the cost of the quarters, not to exceed $50.00 total.
Cy S. gave a wonderful program on his trip to Israel. Also, in his treasurer's report, it showed that we made over $300 from the Spring Show.
July Recap
We have 8 tables sold for the Fall Show on September 18th. We are buying time for an ad on the Benton County CO-OP TV system out of Rice advertising our show. And we picked the following design below for the wooden nickel.
Meanwhile, we are almost out of the Spring Show tokens, due to a press release in Numismatic News.
John S. brought different types of casino tokens from Canada.

We talked about the 2000 Cheerios Sacagawea special coins.
We are looking forward to learning about what people acquired on their trips next month. Also, be ready to assemble postcards at September's meeting.

March Recap
We discussed advertising for the Spring Show. We also decided to go with wooden nickels for the show.
John K gave a presentation on how to get casino cards. He also showed off some of his favorites from his own vast collection of them.
April Recap
An idea came up from John K about having a coin auction at our Fall Show. It would be held after the show. We want to ask Roy about it first.
Colin O gave a very interesting presentation on how to clean coins though electrolysis.
May Recap
Most dealers were pleased with the attendance and the selling at the Spring Show.
Our Fall Show is set for September 18th, and next years Spring Show has been set for April 9th.
We decided on how to handle the quarter handout for the Fall Show. Gold and Silver Rarities with again handle the quarter handout in the fall. The Club and Gold and Silver, meanwhile, will split the cost.

December Recap
Elections were held this month. Here are the election results: Mike H is president, Cy S is Treasurer, John K is Coin Show Organizer, and D.J. K is Newsletter Coordinator and now VP. We are going to be putting ads in the Shopping News to try to attract new members.
We played Dirty Bingo and had a fun time.
In other events, we are thinking about having a joint coin show with the local Stamp Club in town. John K and Tim M are going to their next meeting.
January Recap
John K and Tim M returned with a report from the Stamp Club. The earliest participation with them would be the Fall Show. Also suggested for meetings/shows was the Whitney Senior Center.
Mike H brought a movie on the U.S. Mint.
February Recap
We have 12 tables committed for the Spring Coin Show on April 17. We will decide whether to give wooden nickels out this year or to give away the new Minnesota quarters, or both.
John K gave an interesting presentation on Disney paper money. Afterwards we talked about the how the Chinese want the U.S. to ban exports of their ancient money.
