The Great River Regional Coin Club meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month at Miller's Indoor Auto Plaza at 2930 2nd Street South, St. Cloud, MN. Meeting time is 6:30 PM and goes to approximately 8:30.

September Recap
The Red and Blue books are in. Red books cost $6.00 and Blue books cost $5.50.
We talked about a fall coin show in the middle of September next year
(2001) and about Las Vegas Chip/Phone Cards.
October Recap
We donated Red and Blue books, Coin World, and Numismatic News
Magazines to the library.
We had a video program this month. It was called �Modern Minting
Process� hosted by J.P. Martin.
We learned about casino silver strikes. At casinos you have to gamble for
them, you can�t buy them. You have to win them out of the machines, and
they have mintmarks on them.
November Recap
�Dirty� Bingo is next month. Bring a gift that is numismatic related that is
about $10.00 in value. It should be wrapped with your name on it. Remember to play �dirty� this time! Note: No auction next month due to the game.
Elections for new officers are in December.

the Kelly Inn. There was a great turn out last year and we hope to have a
better turn out this year. Contact Roy at 320-230-1683 for more information.

June Recap
John gave out the new state quarters to the kid members.
John also told everyone about his adventures at a large coin show in the Twin Cities and his side trip to Canterbury Park. He showed everyone present a few of his Franklin Mint casino coins.
We discussed what subjects we want to order from ANA videos.
July Recap
The group welcomed a new member. His name is Robert.
The South Carolina Quarters are out on the Market.
A total of sixteen (16) tables have been sold for the 2001 coin show so far.
John is checking with vendors for bids on making the 2000 wooden nickels.
He also gave a presentation on Military Payment Certificates.
August Recap
The group welcomed a new member. His name is Kevin.
John told everyone present about his side trip to Atlantic City, NJ and his
quest for unique gaming chips. One tip if you go, PAY FOR PARKING AT THE CASINOS, DO NOT WALK THE 12-MILE CASINO ROUTE!!!!!
The red books should be arriving soon.

December Recap
The members approved D.J.'s design of fireworks for the year 2000 wooden nickels. John will order them.
The members present elected officers for 2000: President: Roy, V-President: Mike, Treasurer: Cy, Secretary: D.J.
We ended the meeting with a fun game of "Dirty Bingo".
January Recap
John showed his Chinese medal book and some Franklin Mint coins. We have 20 tables sold for the April coin show. We voted to continue the monthly door prize drawing.
It's requested we move our meeting dates to the first Thursday of the month, due to a conflict with another group. The membership present approved this, starting in March.
February Recap
Cy gave a presentation on local tokens he found with his metal detector.
It was decided to send out postcards to announce the April coin show.
We were reminded that April is when we renew memberships. $3 for an individual, and $5 for a family.
Next meeting is March 2---first Thursday of the month.
