  TOS period C   The years Kirk is based on Earth during the Enterprise refit.  
  TOS period D   Kirk commands the Enterprise as an admiral. (the first four movies)  
  TOS period E   Events between movies "The Voyage Home" and "The Final Frontier".  
  TOS period F   Star Trek V through Kirk's "death" on the Enterprise-B and its aftermath.   
  TOS period G   The continuing adventures of Kirk and his crew in Picard's time.

Kirk, Spock and McCoy go their separate ways as their tour on the Enterprise comes to an end and the ship is dry-docked for a three-year refitting, but an unexpected diplomatic crisis brings them back together.
