Real fresh flowers are the beginning of this enhanced canvas. We "pound" them onto the glitter canvas to create a bouquet overlaid with floating, stitched flowers. The different impressions create fascination in both color and shape. It fishbone stitched overdye ribbon flowers, beaded flower shapes, satin stitch, bullion, French knots, and appliquéd lace. The threads are: silks, overdye ribbon, beads, rayons, and metallic.

Biography
Marnie Ritter has taught needle art for over thirty years at national and regional seminars, Callaway Gardens, Kent State University, NAN, as well as Guilds and shops national and international. Marnie enjoys discovering new and innovative techniques that combine many facets of needleart. Her students enjoy her enthusiastic teaching style.
