201 ACORN ÉTUI
with DIANE CLEMENTS
This colorful, multi-stitch, tri-fold sewing
case is filled with counted patterns,
some original, some adaptations of traditional designs. A variety of crossed stitches, queen stitch,
chain, eyelet, outline, satin and blackwork add texture and
interest to the embroidery. An original reticello-punto in
aria design adorns the case front. The lace acorns have
trellis caps and cloth stitch bodies. They are held in place with branched and double buttonhole bars. Of
course there are Venetian picots to further embellish the lace
design. A mattress pincushion, needlebook and scissors fob
compliment the case.
Class time will be spent working
on a practice piece for the lace and
