Adding decorative elements

To finish your camera picture, you are going to add some decorative lines to the logo and create a caption.

To add decorative lines:

  1. Select paint(TM)line.

The line tool is displayed. You will be making a straight, airbrushed line, which is the default setting. All you need to do is choose the colors.

  2. Click on the top color selector.

This color selector sets the starting color for your line.

  3. Click on one of the blocks in your gradient palette to use it as a starting color.
  4. Click on the bottom color selector. Click on a block in the palette to choose your ending color.

If you want the line to be a solid color instead of gradated, click on the same block you did for the starting color.

  5. Set the size to 10.
  6. Click in the canvas on the top-right corner of the logo. With the mouse button released, move the pointer straight across and click again to paint the line.

Repeat this step two more times to create three lines extending from the logo as shown in figure 90.

VizPaint2D creates a cutout of the logo and puts it in a file named cut_4. A swatch of the cutout appears in the cut tool.

A list of available canvases and their corresponding swatches is displayed.

    1. Select text(TM)create.
