Importing Files

Purpose

Appends data to your current model, or your working stage if you are using stages.

You can also retrieve previously saved data formats, including wireframe models and foreign data formats.

Overview

This function enables you to add data to your scene without adding new stages.

For information on File > Open, see Opening Files on page 84.

If you want to bring in data on a new stage, use File > Open.

How to Use

Select File > Import > File.

This menu item and File > Open provide the same options, but their option box settings are stored individually so that you can have different default options set up for each one.
