| About These Listings --For the sake of consistency, I've used the modern names of Drake's opponents. Some of the colleges Drake played prior to 1920, however, no longer exist. --Drake has been a member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) since 1908. Drake withdrew from the MVC for four years following the Johnny Bright incident in 1951, and did not compete for the conference football championship again until 1972. The MVC has not sponsored football competition since 1985, however, both the Gateway Football Conference and the PFL now operate under the MVC umbrella. |
