Fan Yin Temple Fan Yin Temple is closely located in Brooklyn's Eighth Avenue district. It's mission is to promote Guan Yin Bodhisattva's great spirit of mercy to benefit society. The name Fan Yin means Buddhist sound. It also means the sound of the ocean tide. The purpose of this temple is to hope to use Buddhism immaculate sound to purify the hearts of human beings, according to Guan Yin Bodhisattva's mercy. Fan Yin Temple was established in 1998. Several years has passed, and it was under Chang Kuan Buddhist's guidance that she and her disciples developed this temple, and by now it has become a calm place where people can altogether worship. This temple houses a Guan Yin palace, the precious hall of the great heroes (merits and virtue hall), a library, and so on. |
