Letters Of Recommendation

To Whom it May Concern,

I have had the great pleasure of working with Elizabeth Perrotte this past year in Precalculus. In the time that I have known Elizabeth she has exhibited an intuitive sense of pattern recognition, a strong understanding of self, and a genuine sense of humor. All of these attributes make Elizabeth a great addition to the math classroom - she is open to making mistakes with good humor along the way to discovering true math generalizations. Like all great students of mathematics she expresses doubt and confusion with new concepts but refuses to accept that as a final state of understanding. In pursuit of this desire to understand, Elizabeth has frequently sought out additional time to ask questions and dig deeper into the material with me on her own accord.

This academic year was beset by many unexpected absences for reasons wholly out of her control. Through all of the disorientation and growth that these pauses forced upon her, Elizabeth showed great fortitude and commitment to staying on track and engaged in my class. I am most impressed with her ability to balance her personal and professional life in situations that would overwhelm many others.

From my vantage point, Elizabeth will make terrific contributions to any community that she joins. Her understanding of self, her ability to develop strategies to solve problems, and her ability to relate to others will only benefit and make the teams she becomes a part of more successful. She leads by example, and that is what will allow her to accomplish any goal she sets for herself in the future.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you,

To Whom It May Concern:

I am delighted to have the opportunity to write to you concerning my student, Elle Perrotte. I taught Elle at the Center for Technology, Essex. Elle stands out as exceptional in a multitude of ways.

Elle is industrious. This is a student with a resumé. Elle won first place in Web Design and Development at the 2025 SkillsUSA Vermont Championships. She has taken multiple college courses, earning top grades in each. Elle is a student with drive.

When given a task, Elle dives in. I’ve seen her immerse herself in research for her CAWD program, take initiative in group projects, and explain complex concepts in simple language when peers have asked for clarification. She is quick to help others, always kind, and puts in 100%. Elle cares about the integrity of her work. I wholeheartedly recommend her, as her exceptional writing skills consistently exceed expectations and showcase both creativity and clarity. Her presentation on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein demonstrated a deep understanding of the text while making connections to the current world. While some students focused on plot summary, Elle went beyond. She asked philosophical questions, prompting her peers to follow her intellectual lead. She shows unwavering integrity in all academic and personal pursuits, earning the deep respect of peers and faculty alike. Elle’s perseverance is evident in the way she approaches challenges with determination and resilience, never settling for less than her best, as evident through her consistently high grades. Elle cares about quality and is willing to put the work in to achieve the result she envisions.

In class, Elle stands out as an example to others. She takes an active role in group projects and is generous with her knowledge. Elle is always happy to help others and works hard in class. Moreover, when teaching others, Elle appreciated the chance it gave her to hone her own skills. In my experience, this is the mark of a true learner.

Elle is a rare student in many ways. She is kind, hardworking, and helpful. I know she will succeed in the career of her choice. A work ethic like Elle's, coupled with her sense of integrity, means that she is sure to succeed wherever she goes.

If you have any questions about Elle, please do not hesitate to contact me. I welcome further opportunities to discuss Elle's many accomplishments and qualities.

Sincerely,

Emily Quinn
