Exploring Diversity: Themes and Communities
Presented by Children's and YA Author
Cynthia Leitich Smith
This site states and I agree, "Please note that we have not had the opportunity to review all of the books listed by all of these site and page authors. Regard this list merely as a starting place for your own research and evaluation. Please also note that the author/illustrator highlight links are by no means intended to be comprehensive; they're just thatsome highlights!"

Disability World
Presented by : disabilityworld.org
This site states, "When globalization makes this world seem smaller - and seemingly more alike - perhaps we need to take stock at what exactly we are teaching our children about similarity and diversity. What perhaps, needs to be re-evaluated and/or changed, especially in our curricula and media for children and in our parenting education programs and materials?"

Labeling People
Avoiding the consumption of assumption
By Chuck Gallozzi
Presented by personal-development.com
"The problem with labels is they are merely shells that contain assumptions. When we are taken in by a label, we are taken in by opinions and beliefs. That is, we willingly accept statements without evidence of their validity. The assumptions become stereotypes, which soon become put-downs. Before you know it, we are engaged in name-calling or verbal abuse".

Respect
Presented by Nickelodeon Talk BigHelp
I liked what I read.  This information gives parents suggestions for talking with their children  about difference at various age and developmental levels.  It was worth the time to experience.

Camp Fire USA Launches Bold New Brand Identity And National Image Awareness Campaign
Presented by charitywire.com
"Camp Fire USA is inclusive, welcoming children, youth and adults regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation or other aspect of diversity. Its coeducational programs are delivered in schools, in after school settings, in day and resident camps, in churches and in community centers."

Band-Aids & Blackboards
This is a site about growing up with medical problems ...any ole type. Its goal is to help people understand what it's like, from the perspective of the children and teens who are doing just that.
Personally, I think this group of kids are so brave, courageous, and set such a profound example of diversity driven strength.  I sincerely hope you will take time to review it's content.
