QBW Calendar
Joining Pages
The Calendar consists of two pages, one
done in Word, and the other done in Excel.
They are both converted to pdf files
initially using PDFCreator.
Go to the Converting to PDF
page for information on how to do this.
Thus you end up with 2 pdf files which now
must be joined together.
I use PDFTools
to join the 2 pdf files into one. This is a small free program which
can join, split or rearrange pdf pages.
Using PDFTools Download
and install PDFTools.
Open PDFTools.
Click on the Join multiple PDF's button. A Join PDF's
dialogue box opens.
Click on Add PDF. An Open navigation dialogue box opens.
Navigate to the first file you want to join. In this case the pdf file
made from the Calendar in Excel.
Click on the file and then click on Open. The file will be added to the
Join PDF's dialogue box.
Similarly click on Add PDF and add the second file, in this case
the gradings page.
Repeat if necessary to add any more pages. You can rearrange the order
of the pages using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
When you have all the pages you wish to join, click on Browse. A
Save As dialogue box opens. Navigate to where you want the new
joined file to be placed. Also give it a name in the File Name
box. In this case the file name will be CalYYYYMMDD where YYYY is the
year, MM is the month and DD is the date. This way you can see straight
away when a new calendar has been formed.
Click on Save. The Save As dialogue box closes.
Click on Join in the Join PDF's dialogue box. A pop us
box will announce if the files have been successfully joined.
Close all the open dialogue boxes and you are done.
