Upon their travels, the group of five discussed ways to put a stop to Erebos. It wasn't
until midway that Sveta finally spoke up, the shamaness a calculating speaker. She spoke of
a way to steal ones power and give it back to mother earth, that more times then not it
kills the one who's being stripped of it because a creatures power is connected to their
life source. The group listened intently, and while it sounded good Nyx just couldn't stand
thinking of her brothers death.. even if he'd caused so much pain. Sveta continued to
explain but paused, glancing up to Nyx worriedly. She spoke of how easy it was to cast this
spell upon furred creatures, but upon reptiles.. well the spell took hold of all, not just
the single it was wished for. The truth was, if they were to go along with this, Nyx could
possibly loose her power of Light and maybe her life.
She agreed.
Sveta told her that Nyx would have to be the one to do the spell, she cared for her
brother.. she loved him. Nyx would cast it out of love. The dragon agreed and they set off
in their travels once more.
Soon, they followed the signs to the deep gorge in Arcelia, located there was the Abiteth.
Nyx called her brother out, and he willingly followed, along with the large group of
reptiles that had his back. The five stood off against the many and Nyx stared into Erebos
dark eyes as her heart broke. Determination set in as she crossed her arms, "Me and you
Erebos. This ends now." They were words of binding, for a dragon of that time could not
refuse a challenge especially by his own sister. The dark male stepped forward and it began.
A battle of fire, horns, fury, and claws. Nyx vs. Erebos, Sister vs. Brother, Light vs.
Dark. It was a fury in the air of rolling and tumbling giants while the four left below used
their abilities and wisdom to keep the rest of the Abiteth at bay.
It wasn't until Nyx and Erebos landed like two falling worlds upon the ground, each locked
in each others claws. Nyx began to chant as tears rolled down her cheeks and soon Erebos
knew something wasn't right. As he tried to rip away the four remaining from the travels
rushed forward to make sure he stayed, a snarl of fury ripping from his mouth.
As Nyx spoke the last words, she softly whispered an 'I Love You' and closed her eyes. There
was a deafening boom, like an explosion but without the heat and fire. It was the opposite,
a cold chill suddenly sweeping the area and those around it. The four travelers were thrown
to the sides by a shock wave that flattened the grasses, the rest of the Abiteth bowled
over, some falling back into the gorge. And then.. there was silence. Nyx lay about 30 feet
from her brother, neither dragon moving.
The four that were left decided to move Nyx, whom they assumed was dead, away from this
carnage and darkness. Kane used his psychokinesis to help make her lighter, and soon Nyx was
moved elsewhere in Arcelia to rest in peace. The remaining four travelers left and made
their way north to Uisnech. Very little was ever heard of these four 'Elders' again.
