Legend has it that due to the four remaining elders having been in contact with Nyx and her brother during the spells activation, something happened to them. Many believe this as the explanation as to why the Elders Council members live unnaturally long lives, as well as why they are in charge to keep the harmony of Eilian.

No one knows if each member ever returned to their original groups, or if these groups ever existed as none of them are seen today in Eilian. The ruins of Ilmatar brush the sky in Uisnech, rumored to have been built after the war. Rumored to be where the Elders live.

Many believe Erebos is still alive and out there, Nyx somewhere in a deep slumber. No one knows for sure what really happened after the War of the Dark Ages. Many believe the whole story is a joke and that the Elders are just a myth. Some believe the Elders are real and that they still stay around and pass down their knowledge to the next generation just in case evil ever raises its head again.

Those who actually believe in the legend see that spell as the reason why all reptiles now can not produce magic. From that spell affecting all those reptiles in the area of the battle, and from reproduction of those reptiles, the gene with magic being passed down from generation to generation, wiping out magic within the reptile race as it does so. They also see it as the reason why reptiles, who can not wield magic, can not be affected or harmed by it.

The fourth generation of Elders now resides in Ilmatar, and they aren't spilling any secrets anytime soon.
