About the Gent

The Gent

I grew up in the smallest town, in one of the smallest states in the country. To say I grew up leading the simple life is a bit of an understatement. Hart's Location has a grand total population of 41 people according to the 2010 census, which is 30% larger then when I grew up there. If this weren't enough to hamper any kind of sophistication, my father was also a taxidermist. Ever wonder where those stuffed deer people hang up on walls come from? Wonder no more, they come from taxidermists.

After moving to the big city (the next town over with a population just shy of 3,000) I slummed around waiting tables and bartending. Around this time I started to have an appreciation for quality drinks. From quality scotch and whiskey, fine wines, and craft beers, I was enjoying it all, some may say a bit too much. I grew bored with bartending so one day I up and joined the Army.

To make a long story short, after nearly a decade and a couple vacations to Iraq and Afghanistan, I discovered the relaxing joy of a fine smoke and drink in the company of good friends. All in all I'm probably not actually that sophisticated, but it's fun to pretend.

The Gent's plans for the month.

If you're in the area of any of my plans, feel free to swing by and join. I'll be the loud one. Just don't be creepy please.
