NESA (or the North East Group) is the name of the coterie of the students who come from the North East to study in Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. The association aims at making an emotional bond among the students of North East and maintain an identity in the institute. The current strength of this association is 58. This association builds a sense of togetherness among the students belonging to different states of North East and help knowing each others culture. The association has its own functions like the Fresher's Party for the first year students, Farewell Party for the final year students, Get-Togethers, and fete champetres. Apart from this, the students get together to celebrate the Rongali Bihu, Bhogali Bihu where they have  great feasts, and Saraswati puja ( along with the students of West Bengal) where the whole of MNIT is invited and 'mahaprasad' and 'khichdi' is served. This association of the students helps to make a strong relationship between the juniors and the seniors and also with the alumni of this institute from the North East. Along with studies, the students have excelled in sports as well as in extra-curricular activities. The current final year batch has 10 students, 8 out of which have already got placed in some company or the other.
