COMMENTARY
2001 was the first year in my life where things ended better than they started for many many years. For the first time, I was happy. I met the woman who changed my life on 10th March 2001. We were married on May 26th. And whilst I was happy, there was still the normal, dull drudgery to fight against. Freed from the confines constantly fighting illfortune (though my financial prospects had yet to improve), i was able to concentrate creatively on working extensively for drownedinsound, as well as producing some almost decent verse. I also managed to perform occasionally with the shortlived, but worthy, band Volume, for whom I sang, wrote lyrics, and played the drums.
I finally felt as if I had found my own voice.
NOTE
These poems use the old layout of the site, some quite dated white upon black design.
I don't like it, but let's just say it's a 'retro' design. Might be worth a bit in a few years.
