is the newest version
of Ad-aware. It is pretty
good, but you should also
install Spybot Search & Destroy. This is
because what one program
doesn't find the other
usually does.
Advantages:
Removes a lot of spyware.
It claims to remove trojans
and it does remove stuff
like tracking cookies
and does have a web update
utility intergrated into
it. Its latest scanning engine is very fast.
Disadvantages: Only a minor one - its database of spyware isn't as large as Spybot, and it doesn't come with a myriad of tools.

Another
spyware remover like Ad-aware.
This program is rated
a bit higher than Ad-Aware
in CNET.com. Now that
I've used it for a long
time, I prefer this program
to Ad-Aware because it
scans faster. Check it
out and tell me what you
guys think of it. It removed
2 spyware registry files
from my computer that
were not found in Ad-aware.
It has more tools than
Ad-Aware, and can remove
usage tracks!

Pop-up
stopper companion
This
wonderful program used
to be called pop-up stopper
but Panicware seemed to
have changed it. As the
name suggests, it blocks
away irritating popup's
that may contain spyware.
If you want popup's from
a specific site, just
add it to the program!
Its user-friendly. It
can allow/block cookies
away from different sites
if you set it to. Very
good program. When it
blocks a popup, it plays
a sound that you can configure
manually. The trail version
is free and you have to
input a serial number
to get the full registered
version.
Advantages: Plays a sound when it
blocks popups. Allows
you to block/allow a site's
cookies, popups. It intergrates
into Internet Explorer
as a toolbar. It can clear
drop-down url history,
browser history, cookies,
browser cache (temporary
files), recentently viewed
documents folder history,
empty the recycle bin,
add hotlinks, and find
the folder where you last
downloaded a file! Amazing!
Disadvantages:
Must register and pay.

Recommended updates
are sometimes security fixes,
but are not that important.
I still recommend you to download

are Windows Approved or supported
drivers. These are confirmed
to work with your Windows
OS. Definitely download these
to increase your hardware
performance.

Although this
service has been discontinued,

Then, it displayed the available

to download. It had updates
for ANY PROGRAM!
