The Witches' wheel follows the process of the moon and nature, Each holiday represents a spiritual point within the seasons thus portraying the sabbats. Spring turns to Summer which in turn forwards on to Autumn, then to Winter and back to Spring, thus starting the wheel again. We celebrate these events eight times during the course of the year. There are the two "cross quarters", called the solstices and the two "cross quarters", called the equinoxes, that follow inbetween each of the four great sabbats. We witches start the new year with Samhain. With every celebration, we turn the wheel, therefore we believe, that there is never an end, only a rebirth of earths everlasting spiritual beauty and growth.
