It is the most magickal night of the year. We celebrate the end of the old and the beginning of the new. Family and friends gather together in a beautiful array of festivity and feast with the final harvest, and later plant the seeds of the fruits for the new harvest. Samhain is a joyous event for it protrays the balance in our lives for a peaceful future filled with integrity, hope, and the unity of all. It is also a night when our worlds are at it's finest to call upon our lost loved ones and our ancestors to join us in our celebrations. An offering of food from the harvest is set out for our ancestors to give tribute to those who have parrished, to let them know they are not forgotten, that their deaths have not gone in vain, and that we shall go forth into our futures with truth. |
