Ostara is the vernal equinox, celebrated on March 21,
This is a time of perfect harmony where the night and day are equal in length. It is a celebration of the marriage between the sun god and the maiden goddess to sow the seed of fertility for the rebirths to come. (Like us poor women, 9 months of pain for a lifetime of happiness. A very small price to pay for the growth of our world) Ostara is the time where spring is at its' peek with all the beautiful flowers at bloom and creatures frolicking across mother earth. It is also a time where we look into ourselves and atone with mother earth and all her bounties. A spiritual cleansing of our own hibernations, usually done with ritual walks through nature. While you are in the woods or in the meadows, gather up a couple of wild flowers and take them home, devine and reveal your inner emotional thoughts. I like to take with me on my spiritual walks, a couple of little sapplings to plant along the way as my gift to mother earth for allowing me to partake in her beauty and live in her surroundings.
