Sprayahen's St. Louis Cardinals and Other Notes on the State of Baseball is now officially hosted by BlueHost.com, and you can now find us at http://www.sprayahen.com. Now that it has its own domain, ESPN will surely be dethroned soon.

After being offended by the success of Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster (bad), Larry Walker and Scott Rolen homered to secure a 4-0 win over Chicago on Thursday. Chris Carpenter also had a big game; he threw his first shutout as a Cardinal and avoided the embarrassment of giving up any runs to the likes of Henry Blanco and Jerry Hairston.

White Sox DH Frank Thomas expressed a great deal of unhappiness with manager Ozzie Guillen after Guillen publicly criticized him for having “a bad attitude.” Thomas went on to say this has been a constant problem throughout his years in Chicago. Well, that could be because Frank Thomas is, in fact, a very pissy fellow.
