It isn't very often I could ever boast about the fine town of Springfield, Missouri, where I have resided for the majority of my life. Not that it's a particularly bad place or anything, but nothing much ever happens. So the fact that it is now the home of the AA Springfield Cardinals is actually pretty cool, and I'm not going to waste my opportunity to experience this level of baseball so near my very own house. While I won't be at every game (or even anywhere close to every game), I will be going to a few, and taking pictures to boot. Who knows, I may even sneak on the field and pretend to be a member of the press at some points. These AA guys need any kind of attention they can get, even if it's from fake media members such as myself. I will be keeping a journal of sorts of my experiences at Hammons Field during the 2005 season, with insights and comments you can't find anywhere else. The pictures will also be taken exclusively by me, which means you're going to have to live with subpar photography and occasional darkened images that are clearly not the work of a professional. Hey, it's not like you were there, so you don't have better pictures. Enough said.
