9-6-2009 Representatives of SNEA(I) led by CS Sh. Amarjit Singh held a meeting with CGM. It was assured by the CGM that the recently transferred SDEs will be relieved soon and more requests for transfers will be considered.
1-6-2009Executives in BSNL have got very good Scales. With the efforts of our Circle Secretary, almost all the promoted officers are getting posting on the stations of their choice. But it is a disturbing fact that BSNL is going into losses in almost all major circles including Punjab.
Just seven circles reported profit during 2008-09:
Kerala (562 Cr & highest), Karnataka (324 cr),
Chennai TD (324 cr), J&K(34 cr), Orissa (23 cr),
Rajasthan(8.5 cr) and Haryana (29 lakhs).

20-4-2009 Meeting held with CGM, Punjab. CS Sh. Amarjit Singh, DS, CO Sh. D V Kaushal, DS Chd. Pritipal Singh were present from assoc. side and GM(A) and AGM(A) were present from management side. 19-4-2009 A meeting of executives from CIVIL and ELECTRICAL wing was held at Hotel Gravity along with the lunch. It was attended by CS, CP, DS CO, DP Chd. and about 50 members. A three member committee comprising Mr. Sanjay Manchanda JTO(Civ), Moga, Bharat Bhushan Jain JTO(Elect), Fzr., Harmeet Singh JTO(Civ), Chandigarh was formed to look after the issues related to the Civil and Electrical wings and coordinate with the Circle Sectretary.

29-1-2009 CMD BSNL has asked DOT to return the Pay Revision proposal to BSNL Management to review the earlier recommendations in view of the present financial health of the company. GS has asked all activists and members of the Organization at all the levels to be ready for struggle at a short notice.
28-1-2009 CS met worthy CGM on Saturday for the Officiating promotion of JTO to SDE. The orders were issued today. The request tranfers were also considered on the request of CS for which SNEA(I), Punjab Circle is thankful to worthy CGM, Punjab.
21-1-2009 CEC Meeting held in palacial RANBIR CLUB, Sangrur. All the districts except Bathinda, Amritsar and Ropar attended the CEC meeting. All the members have collectively shown concern for the deterioration of BSNL services particularly mobile, IPTV and broadband. They condemned the Administration of CMTS section for not taking initiative to improve the services. It was decided to take up the matter with CGM and authorised the circle secretary to take another steps including going to press, which can be helpful in improving the services. The Circle Conference has been decided to be held at Sangrur in the first/second week of April. Rs. 100 per member will be the members' contribution and Rs. 500 will be the delegate fees for the conference. All the districts are requested to clear their dues before 28th Feb. and hold district/branch elections before 15th of March.
