NEWS STUDENTS ATTEND TALK ON ANTI-SMOKING
About 270 students from Form 4 got a closer look on the effects of smoking when they attended the Anti-Smoking Talk held on 28 th March 2007 . The talk was given by Awg Marsini bin Hj Marsin , the Health Education Officer from the Ministry of Health. The objective of the talk was to promote healthy living among students and to create awareness on the dangers of smoking. It was also held to enhance and reinforce a topic in their syllabus. During the talk, students were shown photos of the effects of long-term smoking, such as lung cancer, mouth and neck cancers. The speakers also briefly touched on the Tabacco Act 2005 that would be implemented in the near future to gradually reduce the smokers' population in Brunei .
