    It also gave a situation summary of cases as of today:
    1)    Cases in different age groups:-

    58.4% of the reported cases are made up of people of ages 20 years and below

    36.4% of them are in between the ages of 20 and 40 years of age

    5.2% involves those above the age of 40

    2)    Current epidemiological study showed the history of infection:-

    56% cases had travel history to other countries (ie. United Kingdom, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Johor, Lawas, Bintulu, Miri, Labuan, Singapore, Philippines and Laos)

    25.8% cases were through contact

    18.2% cases are not yet known and is still being investigated

    The ministry continued to advise the public, who have recently returned from affected countries within the past seven days, and having symptoms, to seek immediate medical attention. It was also advisable to reduce social activities and crowded places such as:

    Community gatherings, Shopping centers , Markets , Stalls , Restaurants , Cinemas , Swimming pools and the like

    The public could also help to prevent the spread of respiratory infections by maintaining good personal hygiene the statement said.
    • They should wash your hands regularly with soap and water and dry them using disposable tissue or the like
    • Use alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers if there are no hand washing facilities
    • Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough and discard used tissue in the dustbin
    • Avoid people who has influenza like symptoms and
    • Avoid from going to crowded places

    Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Hasan was formerly known as Sekolah Menengah Tanjung Bunut. It is situated at Ban 5, Kilanas. You can come along Jalan Mulaut (West side) or Jalan Kilanas (East Side) to reach our school. (Please see Map )

    BRIEF HISTORY

    1992 : Construction of the school began on 6 hectares, costing $22m under the 6th National Development Plan.

    1994 : The school started its operation as Sekolah Menengah Tanjung Bunut (9 MAY 1994)

    1995 : A visit by His Majesty ‘Bersama Rakyat'.

    : The school was renamed Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Hasan (6 JULY 1995) after the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

    :Renaming ceremony was officiated by Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr. Ustaz Awang Hj Mohd Zain bin Hj Serudin Minister of Religious Affairs.

    :First batch of Form Three BJCE candidates.

    1997 : The first batch of BGCE ‘O' Level students.

    1998 : The school began double sessions. : The first batch of BGCE “N” Level students

    2005 : Visited by Minister of Education

    2006 : Surprise Visit by His Majesty, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang DiPertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam : Some Students and teachers moved to Sekolah Menengah Masin according to students' catchment area : Convening School for INFORAMA 2006

    2007 : 147 teachers and 1386 students : School Renovation

    2008 : Visited by Minister of Education on Saturday, 2 Feb 2008

    2009 :9 May 2009 - 15th Anniversary......Happy 15th Anniversary Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Hasan
