Dr Decibel
Dr Decibels first day as a professional audiologist gives way to crazy hula hooping, sign language in time to Madonna and more
This hilarious roving character will endear herself to families Deaf, daft and hearing.
Dr Decibel is available for one, two or three shows per day; maximum one show per hour.
The Full Show
Dr Decibel conducts comic hearing tests on audience participants using bizarre apparatus such as her hula hoops and Deaf Detector. The audience learns some basic signs, and are amused when Dr Decibels professional exterior drops away with a spontaneous hula hoop signing routine in time to Madonna.
This show requires the p.a. system to play the appropriate Madonna song on cue.
Duration: 20 mins.
Roving Hearing Tests
Dr Decibel roams amongst the crowds, entertaining families and individuals with her hearing tests and signed communicaion. Children receive gold star stickers and balloons for braving the doctor.
Duration: 20 mins.
Two shows available per hour.
Roving Hula Hoops
Dr Decibel sheds her lab coat and hits the crowds in her funky purple dress and spinning gold hula hoops. Audience members are invited to try out the hoops themselves while Dr Decibel demonstrates her favourite skill with finesse.
Duration: two sessions of 10 mins each.
