These are all my work during first semester for Composition 9 course. I read Lord of the Files, Catcher in the Rye, and The Heart is a Lonely Hunger in the class. All works that I have done are developed from these three books.

For Lord of the Files, we had the mock trial ourselves to recognize Jack¡¯s guilty. We determine our roles to play for the trial. I was the sketch artist. I sketched figures and ambiance of people and the room.

One more project for Lord of the Files is the Rules Essay. That novel was about British boys on the island become savage without rules. I compared this novel with an article that is also about lawlessness.

The Character Essay is about my favorite person. I chose Frida Kahlo, who was a Mexican painter. She was different from any other women. She had a strong mind and followed that. She influences my ideal very much.

¡°Secret Goldfish¡± is D.B.¡¯s short story in Catcher in the Rye. That story is Holden¡¯s favorite. I wrote the ¡°Secret Goldfish¡± for my Catcher in the Rye final project. Plot that is given by the novel was ¡®a boy does not show his goldfish because he used his own money to buy the goldfish.¡¯

Mick is a girl character in the Heart is a Lonely Hunter. She has a typical relationship with her father. She realizes her father¡¯s loneliness. I compared this scene with a journal that is also about the relationship between father and daughter.

These are all I have done. These works made me think about the novels once more. They helped me to understand the characters in the novels, and object to the ideals of the author or actions of the characters. They helped me to think in many other ways. When I did these works, I was tired. However, they influenced me, indeed.
